Dave's voice sounds higher when he speaks, but when he starts singing, it goes into a deeper, mellow voice. Love it!! I loved this song when it came out in the late 70's, and just pretty well came upon it again in the last year or so. Enjoy seeing all the various videos of him/group, playing thru the years. I saw these two just a few years after this video was made in Cincinnati at Bogart's, two friends were the opening act, and Jim's guitar electronics were whacked, so he borrowed one of the guitars from my friends. The two main things I remember about the concert were Dave barking at the sound guys because the monitors weren't up high enough (the sound was often bad there in the 80's as it's a tough room to run sound in, basically a brick rectangle) and the house mix was entirely too loud for an acoustic duo; and Jim Kreuger just absolutely tearing it up on a solo on the borrowed guitar and never leaving that chair! Great song, great artists, sad that he died so young.

Kinda hard to play this song always the same way. At this point in time, he'd probably already played it a 1000 times. Too slow? That's what I thought about the Dave Mason "Every Woman" remake vs the original from "It's Like You Never Left" which was quicker and has Crosby and Nash on background vocals. Several Perkins Palace songs are redone to a 2-man format here notably All Along the Watchtower which was hard to listen to after his electric from the Dave Mason album which was superb and only topped by his Live at Sunrise version which for my money is his best recorded version
