Anybody hear early Jimi thing intro in the acoustic guitar opening in this song?

Not really, the first chord is similar. My ear isn’t trained enough anymore to tell. But I see what you mean

Yes. First thing I thought about. And sometimes those things are on purpose. he surely knows they are similar.

Wow this is my favorite song on the album. Potentially my favorite song since Big Whiskey album provided us with so many classic modern era songs. Drunken Soldier and Broken Things are the only two songs from AFTW I loved. Snow Outside is pretty great . Come Tomorrow is my least favorite of all their albums. Strangely enough my favorite track is a song I despised live, Cant Stop. Samurai Cop is just beautiful but not what I can listen to often. This album is so good every song is my favorite until i hear a different one. So happy theyre back at it. This is great!!!

@@jordanfink9049No it's not it's just the same key and same box of E major pentatonic. It's not a sample though. If we were in the same room I'd show you on the guitar. Looks like you just read another comment and jumped to the same conclusion they did, although I think they were just pointing out the similarities instead of claiming it was a remix

@@mr.yellowstrat3352 yeah there’s an old either intro or maybe a breakdown in early versions that sounds very similar not the actual Jimi chords

I think the band has obviously changed their sound quite a bit now that Boyd has left the band and since LeRoi has past away. This new record just seems really flat to me. I do like a couple songs but just can't seem to get into most of them. And I have been a DMB fan for over 30 years. First saw them in the early 90's.

@@josephfinkelstein5117 Well I think saying this record is not that good is not hate. I consider myself a true fan. I traveled continents and spent thousands of dollars just for one concert twice (from Uruguay to the Gorge) but there are some things I must say. The overuse of the words "love", "kids", and "children". I get it he is a father and he writes like a 50 something years old man but I feel like he is trying to write "Heal the World" again and again. The sound changed since Boyd left the band. As a matter of fact, since the guitar took a more significant part. This album sounds a lot like a solo album with the help of the band. Too many ballads too. This is their 10th studio album, would any of these songs make it to the DMB top ten? No way. It is too short as well. I miss the jam sessions. And I think many of us would appreciate Bismark making it to the final cut. On Break Free... Well, it´s very hard to make a good studio version when you already have a GREAT live one. Same happened with Can´t Stop. And both songs end with that fade-out outro like they didn´t know how to finish the job. All this doesn´t mean I don´t like the band. They are still my fav band, even when I don´t listen to many songs from the last two records. And by the way, they should not give a damn about my opinion. And Artists should make art in the way they feel like.

Things have not been any easier Since you found someone to love It's hard just keeping it together When it's pulling you apart When all you wanted was tomorrow Your picture albums on the wall And the good old days and times of sorrow Yeah, But tomorrow never comes Oh, tomorrow never comes No daily briefs, no consultations With ravens picking at your eyes No time for polite conversations The front lines waiting for your lives But all you wanted was tomorrow And box your yesterdays away You forgot your time was borrowed And it's just another day Oh, it's just another day All the pretty boys and girls dance 'round together Yeah, they're trading places for a day The crowd is growing 'cause the circus come to town All the boys and girls, they're gonna go out and play The world is going in all directions Like bottles shattered on the floor And some want a cure for this infection But the children fill their heads for more Oh, the children fill their heads for more All the boys and girls dance 'round together They're trading places for a day Yeah, the crowd is growing 'cause the circus come to town All the pretty boys and girls, they're gonna go out and play

This ENTIRE album is 32 minutes and 14 seconds long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????. What an INSULT and waste of money for REAL DMB fans!?. As far as taking you on a musical vacation, this doesn't even get you off the runway. Then you find out your luggage got lost. HUGE let down!. I put this album on expecting to get taken away from my worries and woes for AT LEAST an hour, and they instead give me an album that makes me feel like we are living in the 50's!?... What gives!?.. I mean sure, they are great songs, but for any REAL DMB fan, this is a JOKE!. Please tell me that the REAL album is coming out in another month or 2, and that this was just the teaser "Greatest hits" album!?. Before they had Redrocks, and the Gorge with an included DVD!?. But with this, it's like, here's 32 mins of the same $hit you've heard before and a couple waaaay too short new songs, now give us our money and piss off!?.. As a TRUE DMB fan, this album is a HUGE let down!!!...

Settle Down Feller. Not everything needs aspire to a 34 minute rendition of 41. This album is more Pure Perfection. Some of these will evolve into MONSTERS(i know what I did here). They always do. DMB is insight into Souls in near Real-Time. A commitment to sharing thoughts, ideas, experiences, and emotions, set to notes against the backdrop of yet another World Shift. Itsa Magical ride. Sit back and Enjoy. In the meantime, If kindness is your King...No Matter. Joy and Gratitude. Thanks, Dave.

Songwriting is storytelling. This album reflects what Dave has been experiencing in recent years. Maybe we shouldn't expect the new to sound like the old
@adamalander75155 ай бұрын
@@Rín-wín I never said that. I WANT new music. I just also want NEW music that is also my money's worth, and not just a few short songs, and a few songs I've already heard live a bunch. I stand by what I said. The album seems rushed out, and lazy. It's only a half hour long. That feels like a rip off and a massive disappointment for me. As far as feeling like you got what you paid for, this album does NOT cut it for me. PERIOD. If you are content with a very short album and songs we already heard with nothing new, then good for you, I however am not happy with this album. If you don't like me saying that, tough!. That sounds like a you problem lol.

@@adamalander7515 I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's like.. are you a fan of the band or are you paying for a service? It's fine to be disappointed, you obviously had higher expectations, but weird to say that you got ripped off. We're lucky they keep making albums, and that they keep touring all over the world for us. Is there not a single thing you liked about the album?
