Anyone remember or have a copy of LIOG with Bela Fleck from the mid-to-late 90s that includes probably the best banjo solo I've ever heard? There's a couple of versions o the song on KZbin with Bela, but not the exact one I'm looking for. Might have been from 1996 or '97. @dmb, feel free to chime in if you know of a recording of this.

Boyd is a freak on that fiddle. who cares that he tried to kiss Dave on the mouth at the 25th anniversary show in C'ville???, and who could blame him?? I sure don't give a F***. he's a badass, a real component of the overall feel of the band. sucks that he's gone now, just for tryna get some fresh ass here or there. one of their better songs, studio cut or otherwise. always will be one of my absolute favorites. the So Damn Lucky from this same exact show I believe is a must see. it's probably the best I've ever seen a studio cut flipped to a whole new level live.

He didn't try to kiss Dave at that concert, he DID kiss him 😂 I was there and I remember being like whuuuuut the fuck was that?? 😂 But for real tho, that's not why he's not in the band anymore. The actual reason is that he got me-too'd by the old piano player of DMB and one of his bandmates from his side band. Some of the shit he got accused of was a little weird (sniffing dirty socks, etc), but honestly at this point no one cares and they should really bring him back!

If people keep digging up as much dirt as possible on musicians, you're going to find a whole truck load of them with odd sexual proclivities. Keep the music and the character separate or you'll be forced to denounce half the shit you grew up with. At least this guy wasn't under age, and we really are living in an "if someone says it, it must be true" age with respect to sexual assault. But I assume the guy has proof. Awfully convenient to be sexual harassed by a rich dude and then sue for 9 million dollars, the guy is not any better of a person than him. Who's next: Stevie f*ckin' Wonder? Please no.
