Alejandra Bermudez Koraans are like bibles but for Muslims, they're usually written in Arabic. Someone who doesn't know arab/Muslim culture and language might misinterpret words of love to words of war, and vice versa. He's basically saying he wishes we would make more of an effort to understand one another on a deeper level, cause we're really not that different. Hope that helps x

9 years later and so many things have changed, but my affliction for this poem hasn’t. This is masterfully crafted and the words have stuck to me like honey since I first listened.
