I remember hearing this version on some random ass radio player on daves website nearly 20 years ago. The album version sounded amazing to me when that came out but I always wondered if the older one was actually way better. It probably is.

Excellent video! I much prefer this version of the song to the one on the actual album. You did a great job editing it too ! It's a shame, such a good band, not around very long and I'm only now getting into them unfortunately after they broke up

@@bigalrcI agree .. You sparked a memory... I rented a second story bedroom in a Huntington Beach gated community townhouse... around 1987-88... Steve was renting the gargage/room conversion below me.. First night, I smell good ganja.. I smoke but was out, I went downstairs and knocked, he let me in and there were 2 blonde sufer dudes and Steve with is guitar covered with glued on trinkets of dead watches and cereal box toys. I was like, can you sell me some of that nectar green. they did and I hung out with steve on and off until he moved to Brentwood. My girlfriend at that time attended UCLA, it's next door, so I visited him a few times, he introduced me to comedien Barry Sobel and once, sitting on a hay bale after some event, Mr. Navarro... I lost touch after awhile. Then I hear.. Steves on Nickolodian, then MTV, then lives in NY. I was working at boring State Farm insurance as a graphic artist and later, web developer. Super happy for Steve and his achievements. I didn't play guitar but now I do.. He showed me 4 chords from LoveNRockets - No new tale to tell.. He was always bright, chill n cool, never grumpy or shitty attitude. Peace.
