hai dave, you're right I also play saxophone P.Mauriat tenor and yamaha trumpet, on trupet it is the buzzing lipp which is important for the sound it is the buzzingen that makes the sound the trumpet onley emplefying the buzzing, like the reed on the saxophonen i have tyryed many saxophone moutpieces and It does not matter my music teacher can hear it is I who play even blindfolded my sound will always be my sound regardless of the moutpiece but I can develop it
