99% of scrambles, the teams play the holes on thier own without the other teams around. this is tap in is done on almost every hole . Dave is right.

I've played in lots of scrambles in many different states. I have played in some scrambles that allow you to tap in to secure a score and then your partners can better that score on their putts. I've also played in scrambles where they didn't allow that, but it was always either on the rules sheet or announced at the beginning of the tournament how it was going to be played. Also, I've never seen a USGA Official Rules for Scrambles.

On the original video this issue caused a shit storm in the comment section. USGA does not have any rules on scrambles. Scrambles are governed by foreign bodies and committees. The " OFFICIAL RULE" is if you are first to putt , and miss, mark your ball. If you tap in , thats your teams score. The second player does not have a chance to putt. 99.9% of Americans do not play this way. We just tap in and say were in for a 5 at worst , now make this putt partner.

Than you have been playing by the wrong rules. One thing I hate about scrambles as there’s no way to protect the field.

@@adampincente209 I'll be sure to tell the PGA Professionals that run these tourneys they aren't playing by the rules. Do you happen to have a rules citation I can give them after they tell me to screw off. Also, how does having to wait until the rest of your team putts before you tap in a 3 inch putt protect the field? If people are going to cheat they are going to cheat no matter what the rules.

In Iowa we tap in. That’s petty. There are no rules for a Best Shot tournament. It is my mission to change the name of scramble to Best Shot tournament Describe a scramble. Umm every one hits and then you take best shot Casey’s pizza does suck

Kirk is correct for a scramble match play. On best/better ball you can tap it in since you're playing your own ball. UNLESS the other team "gives" you the putt. You have to pick up a given putt. If you choose to hit it anyway your team has to score that ball. But it's one of those rules that you should just explain and not call the penalty. Just throw em a bone for ignorance.

When I read and interpret Rules 21, 22, and 23 ... I am not convinced Kirk was actually right. Understanding rules of "individual play" vs multi-person play, there is certainly room for discussion

The one thing with Dave is you have to stick to your way of play because he wants to get in your head and use anything to his advantage. He has the mind of a 10 year old kid who cheated

Kirk was 100% not right. Francis took his shot from the spot. He then took another shot out of turn which should be have been disqualified and order restored. Order restored would be Arian shoots. He cant hole a cup out of turn.
