I’ve always said that the sound and look are so iconic, I’d gladly have one, whether it worked or not.

Would be good if they released a smaller hardware version with the DAC that could sync with the plugin, been playing around with the vst and its very inspiring, it seems to allow you to loop sounds much more quickly than most vst samplers I've used and you can quickly get that lofi 80s vibe.

Those paired stand things for the EII are amazing! Anyone have a source on those?

Can you not buy the rights from Creative and do a new Emulator. :)

I’m surprised he didn’t touch on the emulation

Still don't understand how EMU systems could just wanish. Would be interesting with documentary about the company and all clever engineers working there.

Because Emulators weren't cheap, the SP1200 was already old, Akai was there with it's MPC 60 MK2 and Later the 3000 annnnnd there was Ensoniq in 92 with the ASR10, it was impossible to beat them at that time
@CrazyDriverSwed4 жыл бұрын
@@8cee Not entirely true. Emu made cheaper modules, sound cards too and even computer software. I guess Creative Technology is to blame. They were focused on dirt cheap PC hardware.
@CrazyDriverSwed4 жыл бұрын
@Knobcore Sounds like plan, but I think it's a bit too late. I guess today's younger musicians have never heard of Emu. I whish they keep the Emulator X alive.

Same, they've helped sail music on and on and on, in ways most people don't realize. From their first modular synths, to the Emulator series, to the Proteus line, and then the buyout from Creative Technology.

thank creative labs who swallowed and depreciated aureal, emu, and ensoniq.. three of the greatest american audio tech companies
