Hi Dave ..yes not the best of results , the camera is focusing too much on the window frame ..back to the drawing board ...least got a sun roof on my DMU ..Cheers Dave

Morning Dave, hope you and Debs are well? I really like this idea. I agree with Peter Shaw. If the camera was moved back just a tad it might work better. I've seen it done on another channel ( can't remember which channel, awhile ago). It does look good as yourself like your in the cab. Enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend. All good this end! Hi Stuart , yes not the best of ..the focus was trying too much on the frames , least it shoes best just left on a old truck chassis ..a few suggestions here now to work on though ..cheers dave

Hi Dave, In the most, it's a good and interesting layout... my only two reservations are the tunnel work at the far end of the layout...it would never have happened, it would have been blown out to create a ravine. My advice is to lose both tunnels... they would never exist in reality, and they add an air of stupidity to the rest of your layout, which is quite well laid out, apart from the tunnels,

Well its something to think about if i decide to re build that end of the layout , but like most Modellers i like to see a tunnel , the tops do open so any problems i can get to them ..cheers dAve

The depth of field limitation prevents the window frame being in focus, Dave, as you probably realize, and there’s nowt can be done about that for the Mobius: it is as it is. It’s not excessively distracting, though. Like you, for my rail cam videos I’ve mounted it on a flat bed truck and pushed it around whatever layout I’ve been shooting. But, you get 10 out of 10 for trying out something different especially by installing a sunroof into a DMU.

Hi Allan ...yes i did think pulling the camera back a bit more might help focus better , in the end though best just on a chassis as i did to start with ...as you say though ..got a sunroof now on my DMU ..charge extra for those seats ..LOL ..Cheers dave

Hi David, I think if you adjust the camera lens not to view the cabs windows frame the camera will focuses only on the layout. It seems the frame of the window is taking the camera out of focuses. I did enjoy the train runs. Nick

Nice shots Dave , maybe if you fit the camera further inside the coach the window frames will focus and look more like you are filming from inside a DMU . Peter

Dave I think the Cam is fine the only Problem is the cam its self is trying to Focus on the window in front of it and that's why its out of Focus at times Not sure how you get over that Still Great to see you Run Trains Thanks

Dave try it on a flatbed truck, the dmu window blurs the image. sound quality nt too bad either

I used to have one of theres , had it for about 7 years but it stoped working ...these camera are good , it was the cab effect i was trying for , but the focus was well out ..cheers Dave

Hi Dave, This was a good try to get a drivers view from inside a loco but I am sure you will agree that its not that good so a way to do it with out cutting up your trains is with graphics and I have an example of this on my channel just find a video called JUST TRAINS and at the beginning of it a view from within a 101 DMU see what you think and come back to me in the comments if you would like to try it. I like seeing your trains run on your super layout but a new way to get a different angle with them always good. Cheers Robert.
