Excellent pictures, went to the 1985 GP at Farleigh on my new Kawasaki GPz600R it was an awesome day. Got a few pictures of those battles and vividly remember the crowd going nuts as Dave fought through from dead last after his crash. 💪👍

Great post from an era that had proper motocross tracks with hills and many other variations. There's no doubting the amazing skill and speed of today's mx riders but in my opinion it would be a much better spectacle to see them ride on tracks from this era , i have no doubt that they would actually enjoy racing more on these types of tracks rather than mainly flat tracks with a jump every 100yrds. Nothing wrong with jumps and table tops but it does get a bit repetitive. This is only the opinion of an old man !!! Thanks for posting.
