Davinci Resolve Speed Editor Masterclass - YOU NEED THIS FOR YOUR EDITS!

I usually don't get excited, or am impressed by, certain pieces of hardware. Some (such as mice) are just essential. Having said that, the Resolve Speed Editor is a MUST HAVE, in my opinion. I used to spend a lot of time using keyboard shortcuts, which is a lot quicker than a mouse, but having dedicated buttons and a wheel.....much faster!
ONE QUESTION that I have seen asked is whether or not this can be used on any other pages, and it can, but some of the buttons may not work. IN and OUT for example, however, will work in (if not all) of Resolve's pages.

Oh yeah, clicky buttons for the win! I spend most of my time editing using keyboard shortcuts and just the fact that they have dedicated buttons, and that wheel, just makes everything so much better!

Having trouble with my DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor keyboard. It's not responding during editing sessions despite being fully charged and recognized by my computer. Indicator lights aren't working either. Tried on different computers and reinstalled the software, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Nice video. Just got my Speed Editor and had fun using it. I seem to be switching back and forth between the Cut and Edit pages when I have a clip on top of another. Is there a way to use the multicam function even if the clips are not sync'd (I got an error with the waveform sync)? I have two tracks of GoPro footage skiing(wind noise, etc.), however the waveforms arent close enough to sync up.

You can match them up using a part of footage that is the same in both clips. Actually, I may make a video about this at some point.

Does anybody have any idea how to tell davinci to detect clips from same camera? Im trying to do a multicam edit using davinci resolve 19 with the speed editor. I have 3 cameras. The cameras however have multiple clips so davinci sees each clip as a separate camera. Im attempting this through the cut page using the button on top which says sync clips. However when I press the sync clips button a new window opens and you click sync again. Davinci makes over 25 cameras in my sync and its just a huge mess with all those cameras. I don't see anywhere in the sync window which pops up an option for it to detect clips from same camera before I do the syncing. **I have created first on the edit page a multicam timeline and selected detect clips from same cameras but still it does this. I also love this. I pre-ordered in Nov/Dec time frame and got it in Feb. Plus the Studio key. Sweet deal - Also because I am a one-man crew doing a presentation and production at the same time, In the meanwhile I also got the new ATEM Mini Pro ISO - Now that is the cat's meow combined with the Speed Editor - 4 pre synced tracks plus the timeline, media, and soundtracks. Saved me lots of headaches in post-production. Now Gone is all the hassles of recording multiple sources separately. Now I am using and getting a timeline. With Source Overwrite - I can quickly put together a good video. Money well spent. Love both of them.

2 things 1 how does the speed editor work in other Pages beside the cut page Namely the Edit & Fairlight page. and 2 any chance of comparing it to the Contour ShuttlePRO V.2 - shuttle wheel - USB

I know this comment is months old, but I figure I would respond for anyone reading this. Regarding the other pages, you can use them, but some of the buttons don't do anything. And that's actually not a bad idea. I'll see if I can get my hands on one.

I think $300,- including the software is a great deal.I wish they would incorporate there keyboard with the speed editor and make it a all in one product.Great product nevertheless.

AFAIK, their full keyboard, called "Editor Keyboard" is exactly that - a mix of a normal full size keyboard, with the Speed Editor functionality, including the jog-wheel.

They just ended the promo for the combo. It is $100 more expensive now. It is still worth the money.

They haven't yet. But Blackmagic is very good about sending out updates for their software, so I am sure their will be updates in the future.
