Would you guys like a specific lore discussion thread? (Either as a community post on my channel, or as a pinned comment in a video?) Let me know!

That would be Dope!!! I love chatting about lore with all of you! Even if I sound like the Alex Jones of Elden Ring Lore!!!!

I'm up for either one! I have stated my preference for a community post as that way brainwaves/threads aren't tied to a specific video, but both work very well for my desires. If there is a limited statement of preference from the rest of the community, go with what feels best for you!

If you hit the plants with a torch or fire weapon when they’re spewing, they stop and the cloud disappears. You can juggle them between spewing and trying to head slam you like they do by dodging and hitting with your sword and switching to the torch when they spew and you hardly take any build up because the cloud stops immediately after you hit them

Huh, I wonder what the significance is of the Bubble Boys being found in the Haligtree and Leyndell? Who do they serve? Edit: Knowing they are envoys for a new Era does explain why we find them in both places. Leyndell is where more likely than not a new era would form, as well as you explained why Envoys were at the Haligtree.

Did a quick google, Ephael appears to be related to Ephaal, which means "God's Work". But the fact that the tree needs a brace... That's never a good sign for a tree's health and long-term security.

The root facing cliffs was the way I ended up down there. I didn't know about that whole region before :D It's so crazy in how manyways you can traverse in this game

48:30 "Nihil" in this context is probably meant to mean "zero". He counts down from 3 as he applies the curses to you and activates them each nihil. Since I think that attack always kills you if you don't have countermeasures (i don't know the damage is just big or if it takes a percentage) he's basically counting down to your death (or being reduced to nothing).

awesome, that makes so much sense!

also makes sense in the context of the Formless Mother have no physical being

I find it intriguing how much the architecture of the Haligtree reminds me of Peter Jackson's LotR Elf architecture. It screams Lothlorien to me. I also find it noteworthy that the Haligtree is positively covered with fungus. That normally is a pretty bad sign. Is it because of Melania? If so, does this pre-date Miquella's kidnapping? Also the mushroom-covered guys look (to me) quite different than our previous mushroom enemies. Much more mossy than those fellows. This is making me think that bringing Melania to the Haligtree without the golden needle embedded into her was a superbly bad idea.

Dude! With all the talk 😆 I even went back and played the beginning of Shadow of War because of that Morgul vibe mentioned in the last video or so. It really does though! I totally agree with this! I think they really got some Epic Inspiration for the world they built for us this time around. Good Looks Elizabeth! I totally agree! It's such great art design. Gotta go with what works, and flattery is acknowledging what works, and trying to make it your own, and FromSoft nailed it!

Absolutely astounding that a temple to a Formless Mother somehow connects with Death! Who else do we know that is technically formless? Melina and Ranni perhaps???
@Mandasai122 жыл бұрын
Love that you found a new area with eh connection to deep root depths! So weird the invisible walls were already broken. There are supposed to be two... And I definitely prefer the top of the haligtree..the bottom has too many of those spawn of Satan flurry of hands guys.

I haven’t been watching consistently but I see you mentioned the “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate. Did you talk how that one, the voice of the mother that’s a great one or something, Boc’s mom; I’m pretty sure that’s the same female old one that Mohg was in contact with. They use the same Formless Mother name
@elizabethcassidy80822 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Scott has an overarching lore theory/theme regarding the Divine Feminine in Elden Ring, I have a feeling he would like your theory. The formless mother is fascinating, I believe that she has many different aspects and with Mohg, her aspect is blood. It could also be there are many motherly outer gods and this is another one whose name is gone.

Dave’s memory of these maps and locations of things is always ridiculously impressive to me. I can’t even remember where I leave my car keys sometimes lol

I honestly don't know why the Heima Conspectus fellows were there. Miquella isn't so tightly connected to Liurnia like his half-siblings- the strongest connection is the Albenaurics/Loretta. Perhaps the Heima are trying to find out where their escaped Albenaurics went.

😆 Dave I was trying to use all the lore we learned but I could be wrong. Here's my thoughts: 1st Generation Albinaurics came after Silver Tears, and while we do not have a certainty as to who created them, I just sort of took that to mean: Post Gloam Queen. Marika obviously in some fashion or another usurped the Gloam Queen. Whether it was eons later or not. I think we all agree the 2nd Generation Albinaurics come from the Academy. So, my thought is, while I can't just draw lines from one to the next with such gaps that we have, the 1st Generation of Albinaurics came from the Ripple. They were an unintended evolution of the Silver Tears from the Ripple that was later experimented with by the Sorcerers. That was just my line of logic in asserting timelines. Sorry to sound so authoritative 😆

Hey everyone! Dave Incuded (bc he literally...he is Dave): How Many Kita Editions Exist?! Which Kita Edition did you first find Dave Control on? Was it Bloodborne? Or maybe the OG Dark Souls? DS3? Which Kita Edition got you hooked to some Dave Control Live!!??? Curious!

Something interesting to point out in Loretta's Lore specifically: her ghost and her main form have a Helm that is adorned with the Erdtree. This leads me to agree that she is probably Not an Albinauric. And also, to Dave's comment, the reason she keeps the Sorceries that She Herself Invented. The only other NPC's to use her Bow..."have their mouths sown shut". Which means they probably derived this Bow from Loretta!
@christiankettlewell2 жыл бұрын
The Silver Mirrorshield that I just picked up, has an item description that states: “The shape is said to imitate that of a sacred drop of dew, which inspired the absurd rumor that Loretta herself was an Albinauric.” So yeah, she’s somehow not. Coincidentally, I was avoiding spoilers and still making my way through the game at a snail’s pace and I’m finally caught up and noticed this video from Dave is literally a little behind where I just stopped at, so I clicked to watch and actually knew this one lmao. I cared about that item description specifically because I’ve been using Loretta 10+ as my spirit summon and she absolutely wrecks bosses with me. Love her to pieces so that was an awesome moment, getting the shield

@@christiankettlewell Loretta is a boss in her own right, seems fitting dude!!
@elizabethcassidy80822 жыл бұрын
To add to this, I am in doubt that her helm is actually adorned with the Erdtree, at least not after she left Caria. She's a Knight of the Haligtree. Why, then, would her helm be depicting the Erdtree?
@christiankettlewell2 жыл бұрын
@@elizabethcassidy8082 there’s more that those Albinaurics are obsessed with the Haligtree, which is why they’re in the Liturgical Town guarding the way I believe, but I don’t understand why the lore saying Loretta isn’t one. I’m missing some pieces of info, clearly
@elizabethcassidy80822 жыл бұрын
@@christiankettlewell ah I see, you are enquiring why the lore would not have her be an Albenauric? My theory: We can clearly see that the Albenauric are forced into a servile role with little honor or kindness granted to them. Loretta is in an honored role as a Royal Knight of Caria; I doubt she would have that position if she was Albenauric. That is not to say it's impossible for FromSoft to make her an Albenauric- it would make enough sense. But I see her as a sort of ye olde Abolitionist, seeing how a people not like her is treated is wrong and attempting to right that wrong. Granted, it's not a one to one analogy but if being a knight is what Loretta knows best, she can best help the Albenaurics by acting as a champion and ensuring they have a place to thrive.
