If you justify on Romania with the "War Preparations" spirit, the game will bug out and you get the mediation event twice (at least you did before BBA), meaning you had two opportunities to get all Transylvania.

me, a hungarian: i almost forgot what the vanilla Hungary focus tree looked like. thanks for reminding me why i never play vanilla Hungary. the whole tree feels like it was made by using some grad-student's google translated essay about Hungary's general history at the time. the basics are there, but it lacks well... flavour. kinda ironic considering the very first mod i downloaded is called "hungarian flavour," a passion project, which happened to have existed before DoD came out, and even then, the mod's focus tree outdid the one we got in the expansion *by far*

And HoI4 was always focused more on wars than anything else, so not surprising that most things are revolving around it. As Polish I think our new focus tree is at least servicable and can sometimes be engaging to work with

I did comment on a previous video, but please check out the Soviet naval path! I won't go over all of the stuff again but the Soviet tree gets a really op naval tree - huge cost reductions to screening and heavy vessels and lots of buffs to positioning and the like. I did go over it in detail in my previous comment and I'm not bothered to do it again, but the Soviet naval path is just a bit overpowered.

@@subboid The air path is definitely good, but the navy receives no debuffs at the beginning of the game and the buffs they get for ship costs are a bit ridiculous. Because naval stuff is so overlooked I feel that no one's really realised yet, even though it's been ages since NSB. It might just be me, but you can probably contest every single naval power before Barbarossa and most certainly by 1942.

Look, I’ve seen Japan in the Sahara, Amazon, and Greenland (took over Denmark as part of the Axis) Japan occasionally does weird stuff, especially as an ally (Also just had Turkey in eastern Russia, as an ally to the Soviets, cursed stuff)

im from hungary and i play a lot wirh them so i got a strat what you could try. do the balanced budget and then DON’T do any focus. You get pp so you can hire a fascist guy. Rush the fascism by doing two civilian support thing. then ignite the civ war, you will be fascist and dont have the trianon spirit in like the summer of ‘36. then you justify on austria and then when you have 73 pp you justify on albania. from the start of the game you have to produce transport planes and research paratroopers so you can paradrop to austria. For the second focus you can do the army games which will give you 25 army xp. then you can make a cav template and make the order 66 on italy by attacking albania. one more thing, if you dont select just these two focuses you will have a lot of pp what you can use on conscription and mobilisation laws. this is the most op start with hungary❤

1:25 Here's the Hungarian who will tell you how that word is pronounced. "Ny" is the hardest, it's the "n" and the "y" like in the word "you" kinda fusing. Try saying "n" and "y" without a pause and that's close enough. "I" is pronouced like it's in "Imagine". "S" is prounced like it's an "sh", "sz" is prounced like "s" in English. "A" is pronounced like in "army", "e" is pronounced like in "electricity". "Á" would be pronounced like in "a" "aye". The rest of the consonants stay the same.
