Fun fact in french minor can be translated as mineur and miner as mineur. If miner = mineur and minor = mineur then minor equals miners. According to this flawless logic Child labour should be encouraged in France especially in mines.

Protip: the road maintenance decree gives you 10% bonus at construction efficiency, and there is no cooldown so you can add and remove the decree whenever and wherever you want. It's a good strategy to add it to the state you're building stuff, and then move it to the state of the next construction on the building queue. It requires micromanagement but can give you 10% bonus in every single construction.

I think Victoria 3 is fun, but it needs a combat overhaul. Very often when I invade a country the front lines will get confused and split. It runs very fast but I feel like it needs something to make it smoother

I think it more needs a UI Overhaul. There's a lot more information we could be given more easily. I hate the amount of windows/tabs I have to open in Vic 3. Its an otherwise good game in its current state

Germany needs a DLC, it should be full of history flavour and events and of course there should be alternate history events for example if austria wins the austro prussian war it should have journal entries for uniting the german confederation.

Espacially as a really important country like France who was a major center of technological advancement and during the XIX century. And the French revolutions of the nineteen century define the major European crisis.

Why didn’t they change France’s flag. In the starting date France is a kingdom under the Orleans. They used the Bourbon flag or the Tricolor flag with a royal coat of arms. The solid tricolor was brought back into use until the 1848 Revolution which established the Second Republic.

Nope actually Louis-Phillipe D’orleans used the tricolor flag like in the game bc when he arrives in power, if he wanted to stay he knew he need to accept some of the revolutionary France ideas even tho he was a conservative man

No, during the monarchie de juillet, the official flag was the tricolor one, something who was highly symbolic for claiming the legacy of the 1830 revolution, Louis Phillipe try to use the symbolic of this flag to legitimise is rule and appease the revolutionaries, and deligitimised the Bourbon house who use the white flag, and the choice during the restauration to abandon the tricolor was badly receive. All of that led to the revolutionnary tricolor flag being the flag of France during the monarchie de juillet. Spoiler Louis Philippe was overthrow in 1848.

Become the biggest economy and most populated country as the Ottomans. Going for state atheism really saves you on revolts because all Europeans are discriminated against until late game. Was able to become top econ by 1870s with 3rd biggest pop

5:00 Feedback, you laugh about chair world conquest, but that was one of my most successful games I ever played. Started as Serbia, built up the *biggest factory I've ever built in Victoria 3* (level 531 furniture manufactory in Northern Serbia) and drained the entire world of lumber and produced 80% of the world's supply of *c h a i r s.* Also formed Yugoslavia.

Hey I preordered it as my first (legal) copy of a Paradox game. I like it, but I'd tell you to wait for a sale and probably 1 more major update. This was more of a internal politics + France and miscellanous flavor, next update is either war or diplomacy, which I do think need work on.

I do, but with the caveat that you have to enjoy things like Sim City or Timberborn over the other Paradox titles. The game is a supply chain simulator at its core, and if you do not enjoy managing those, you will hate this game. It is probably the best of its class, and it is getting better as it ages, but do not treat it like the rest of the Paradox Oeuvre. Stellaris comes the closest, but it's still a wholly different genre.
