DIY Cardboard Gift Boxes

How to make folding lid cardboard boxes out of a single piece of card. Simple craft tutorial to make a pretty box for storage. Use them to decorate your room, store small items or as a gift box. Try using patterned card, different colors or even glitter and experiment making different sizes. You'll need a sheet of card, a ruler, some scissors, and glue.

For Father's Day this last June, I made 41 of these & put a little candy pun into each. One for each year my dad has been a father. He loved it! THANKS! I also used the same technique on a plastic placemat from the dollar store. I cut it in half, scored the folds, used super glue, and glued a dot of velcro to the front to secure it. P.S. a couple stickers, stuck half to the box & half to each other make a great handle for easy opening.

This works pretty well with poster paper and i managed to make a deck box for my YuGiOh cards. I used the same method and i stuck a YuGiOh logo on the top with some more glue. This is actually a pretty good craft for storage, gifts, rings or whatever you want to put in it. Nice video, Dave!
