I am not from the US but, like Johnny Cash, I’ve been all over the US (save for 12 states) and, for me, nothing beats the genuine American feeling that teenagers clogging, adults line-dancing, and Appalachian “banjoeing” inspire (with all the due tributes that blues, old country, gospel and cajun music deserve). And this from a devote lover of Beethoven, Wagner, Verdi, Shostakovich, and the whole Olympus. Music is the most beautiful form of beauty! And folk music is the soul of a nation. Don’t let it die.

Don't leave out Metallica's Enter Sandman. True Americana.
@alexandrod224 жыл бұрын
@@tdrewke Interesting noise. Yup! It is the other side of the “americana” coin. Cacophonic music has a right to live. Many love it. This one is plain commercial noise, not unlike commercial country, jazz, blues, cajun and other strings of sound bits that “entertain” crowds. I hope you were simply being sarcastic. It would be really sad if you were serious.

The huckleberries have taken Dueling Banjos to a new level. I really like the way they integrated all the different instruments. Why someone would dislike this is beyond me.

THEE BEST EVER! omg, Dave, that was fantastic. ALL you boys are great, together and seperately, but that rendition is the most creative take on "Duelin'" that I've ever seen! Everyone tries to play it note for note,, including myself. It just never occured to me to change it around a bit and add different instruments as well. Brilliant.
