I’m buying my first rc ever. Can I plug those batteries into a stock xrt? I don’t know how to solder. Is it safe to use aftermarket batteries? I called Traxxas and they said it’s dangerous and the Xrt can catch on fire. Their best is 6700. I want to get better batteries from the start. Thanks

Awesome man, welcome to the hobby....Every LIPO is dangerous, not one more than the other. Traxxas will always want you to buy "TRAXXAS" stuff...its just business...but only thing I had TRAXXAS in mine was the motor and shell of the car, electronic wise....and no, the batteries i had wont plug directly into the stock ESC....UNLESS...you buy battery adapters...heres the link... 2 Pairs RC LiPo Battery Connector Adapter Compatible with TRX Traxxas Lipo Battery Plug to EC5 Male Female on ESC Charger a.co/d/dEbIEi0 Hope this helped💯❤️

What punch do you have your Max 6 set on and what pinion and spur are you running?

I left the punch setting default out of the box just because it was more than enough for me and it popped wheelies easily. As far as gears, i ran a 22 Tooth Pinion Gear and a 46 Tooth Spur Gear. Hope this helps.
