Ephebopus murinus, Skeleton tarantular rehouse and care
This beautiful spider from South America ,located in Brazil through the amazon basin and French guiana ,these are one of the few spiders that have urticating hairs on their pedipalps rather than on their abdomens like other New World tarantulas, they are semi fossorial and require a high humidity enclose they do not like to dry out, apart from that they are relatively easy to care for .

Funnily enough, I was thinking about this particular species minutes before I checked for new vids. Indeed, a real stunner ! Your voice has been distorting quite a bit in your last few videos (your mic is recording too loud). You need to lower the mic volume to around -16db to -12db. I'm not hating or criticizing, I am just trying to help. I am a musician and have my own music studio, so I know about recording audio/voice/music. Her abdomen is so tiny! I’m not a pro but even I can see it’s on the small side. Lovely critter though. Such interesting markings; evolutionarily, I always wonder how tarantula markings came to be. Mother Nature always does things for a reason, and I bet in a lot of cases it has to do with camouflage, but I don’t think that’s the only factor. Regardless, happy for another Beastie video!

Just discovered your channel and I watched both of the pairing videos of the Japanese funnel webs...tell me - did you get an egg sac and any slings? I'm desperate for an update on those two stunning spiders. I've never even heard of them before! As a Canadian transplant in the UK, it's nice to know the hobby is so prolific here. I don't know anything about keeping them aside from the thousands of videos I've binged on (and I have a healthy case of arachnophobia but I'm obsessed with how gorgeous spiders and tarantulas are) and I would love to have a T.Blondi or a poecilotheria metallica, but I won't start the hobby until we finally move back to Canada (we're already transplanting a horse when we go!) and I won't start with a more advanced species, I'll start with something a bit more sensible. Do you have solely a private collection, or do you entertain visitors? I don't know where to go aside from the few zoos I've been to, to see a collection in person.

Great video :) And beautiful spider - hope you can get her eating properly soon. I have a Ephebopus murinus sling that I got over 2 months ago. He is eating, moulted once and has made a burrow in the deep substrate I put in, however he rarely uses the burrow and spends a lot of time on the (not high) ceiling as well as crawling out if I open the enclosure, which wasn't what I expected for a fossorial.

love the design of the enclosure but she will try to burrow more. also its not a big deal that her abdomen is so small cuz this species tends to have a bit smaller abdomens.
