Remember Wincantons. Hung meats in the fridges. My uncle went everywhere. Warrington, Bury and Heywood mainly before moving to Yeadsley when he drove brand new Renault Premium on X reg. Not sure what happened to them. Used to see them fly by ours.

Used to backload rebar and wire coils from Avonmouth docks through the 80s and 90s. Not the best jobs in the world but I suppose it paid for the fuel

Great video.. I used to do maintenance on the Esso garage in Avonmouth then..54:9 for fuel.. Not long after I drove for Stobarts just down the road until they closed the depot in 2000.. stayed with them for years in various places
