Hello everyone,
This week I was inspired by a roll of jute rope that I had laying around the house. I knew I wanted to create a rustic style farmhouse wreath, so as soon as I started getting inspired by Pinterest and other rustic wreaths, I decided to do this braided wreath.
I just love how versatile it is and how you can change this to match any season or occasion. The base is all set and then you just have to change up the decorations to suit your needs.

Cardboard ring - cut at 14" diametre
50' Just rope (10mm)
Glue gun

Oh wow!!! This could be one of my favorites!!!! I am soooo a rustic, burlap, rope girl and this wreath checks all those boxes!!! It is gorgeous!! I am so glad that wire form worked because it seems to be a little more sturdy!! (I love Mini Wheats, too! heehee!!) The flowers at the end took it over the top!!! Awwwww, Soozie, thank you SO SO much. I love hearing that....and I am overly thrilled you think this one is your fave. I will have to admit, I am loving this one so much!!! My fave is with the burlap rustic bow and a couple of the flowers....but then you can add more, or change it entirely to something else....Just so versatile. How long were cut rope lengths for the 14" wire wreath frame? Can you add that to the description please, love this design

Hi Kris....the lengths were still the 5’6”. When I braided it, and then put it in the smaller frame I had a lot left over so I used the same lengths for the 14” frame. Hope that helps. 😊

Hi, I'm trying to figure out a nice wreath to do for my youngest Son's (18) graveside. I've done a large spray that's still there but Easter and his birthday is coming up and I want to do something pretty for his spot. Any suggestions on good outdoor wreaths or protectants? I'd like to make several for each season to swap out. They would need to last in the elements. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there...my deepest condolences for the loss of your youngest son. My heart goes out to you and your family for that huge loss. In the past, I have had great success using the shelf liner in lieu of using deco mesh. The wreaths that I used this one were outdoor wreaths hanging on the front of a house. They have withstood the test of time and the Canadian changes of seasons. The shelf liners were from the dollar store, and fairly inexpensive. Deco mesh can be used as well, as I find it does stand up to the changes of seasons as well. I have heard of people using a clear varathane spray on some of their wreaths, but I have not tried this method yet. Also, there is a spray from Modpodge that is clear and matte that you can use. Again, I haven't tried these two methods, but I have heard they work well. I hope that helps a bit. Take care. 😊
