Me too! Only Tommy Lee beats him for me. One thing...he needs to cool it a little during the ballads! Cry to the Angels..a song about the death of a loved one...and Zoltan is doing his showy stuff. Thats my only criticism.

Listen ...all the great techical great drummers and the drummers who keep it in the pocket, are a dime a dozen. Not taken away from how great and relevant they are. This drummer does both and hot dogs and still keeps time. I don't understand why people hate on him. What he is doing is remarkable. People say he's doing too much he's trying to be the show. But he's not doing too much or being the show if he's doing what he is doing and keeping time, in fact that sets him apart from all the others.. that's how remarkable he is. Zolton has been supporting mediocre bands. I think Zolton should be put in a new band and start a whole new Revolution of drummers. With all this being said ..I am 52 years old I know all the greatest drummers of all time from John Bonham to Tommy Aldridge and Mark Portnoy and the like... this is just too Enlighten you, that I know what great drummers are, so don't get me wrong. This guy is something special.

In fact, bring all the greatest drummers and have them do the Same Song & see if they can keep time with all the hot doging Zoltan does. I don't think they could do that but they should right because they are considered the greatest. So if zultan is playing the same song that they are " the best" doing it with all the Flash Showboating hot doging and keep time If the others cannot do that then who's the greatest drummer.

Renato Mazzella I’m sure in the studio he doesn’t do all of the tricks but when playing live there’s a performance element to playing. To hear the songs played just like the cd ya listen to the cd ... or go see Steely Dan. But when seeing an arena rock band you go big or go home. He’s playing anthems. He’s playing songs people have wild and crazy memories attached to. So when folks take their hard earned cheddar and spend it on a show ya give em a show and as far as shows go it gets no better than ZC.
