Now I know what Davey ment, when cycling past him he said "you'd be faster on that than on my Superbike, how any one can ride a bike fast not knowing whether the brake will bite- 1st- 2nd- 3rd- 4th pull is beyond me, it's hard enough riding the TT course with all its complications without adding a bad bike.

Guy martin wrecked and survived. Cant remember who bounced off a stone wall and lived. Seriously messed him up but raced again too. They know the risks and accept them. If the majority had an issue they could just say fk off yet dont😊

I might be silly here but how can the brakes go on professional team superbike’? Can this happen on ordinary road going versions ? I’ve never heard of it happening to road bikes obviously people are not riding as hard as tt boys but still I thought the pads were quite a tight fit in the callipers 🤷🏻‍♂️

The pads can lift from the disc just slightly because of extreme forces like wheelies and landings. When the rider goes for the front brakes, the first movement doesn’t move the pads. Not until they release & back on the lever. It sounds unbelievable to me, too. I may have got it all wrong, but this is what I’ve taken.
