The casino personnel and some people in general, need to learn how to treat people, doesn’t matter if they are a celebrity or not, it doesn’t cost anything to treat someone with respect and kindness, but when you choose to not treat people with respect it can end up costing you a lot. I love DAC but honestly his was the worst show I have ever been to. It was in 06-07 in Baton Rouge. He sat the whole show then. His son was lead guitar. It really sucked because right in the middle of nearly every classic song he'd stop singing and start talking about it, like "yeah wrote this song back in 1976" yada yada. It got to the point that I think his son got frustrated. I'd watch, he would be jamming on guitar untill Dave would interrupt the song to talk about the song, his son would drop his hands and shake his head. Like "here we go again. Got really annoying that we left little over 1/2 way through. Very disappointed I was but it ended up being one the most fun nights of my life. Left the DAC show then went and got into a big bar fight at Fox & Hound. Great night! Still love his music though

It’s Interesting because one of my dads friends told me a story that one time him and another friend went to Vegas and each took $1000 each and 20 minutes getting to Vegas my dads friend in a hurry said “hey let’s go let’s go” and the other friend said why what’s whats up we just got here? And my dads friend says WE NEED TO GO LETS JUST GO I’ll tell you when we’re out of here. Well as they were leaving a bunch of employees started offering them free stays and all these amenities and they just ignored them and left the casino. The friend was like I need to get my clothes from the room and my dads friend said don’t worry about it I’ll get you new clothes when we are out of here. Got the the airport and just bought tickets whatever was leaving next and when they got to New York got a hotel and my dads friend tells him “ I just won $200,000 why do you think all those employees were hovering over us. And that is what probably happened to DAC they wanted to make it hard for him to collect.

@@XaViEr3520 Having lived in Las Cessvegas for a few years, I find that story quite believable. Casinos have _every_ reason to not pay out on the rare occasion when someone wins big.

I'm a fan of his but he came into a restaurant where my wife worked once and he was insanely disrespectful to her. I love his music but I'm guessing there's way more to the story than him just being nice and them mistreating him. I form this opinion based on how he treated my wife. She was very excited when he came in and heart broken when he left...

Hell everyone has a bad day and maybe it was his. I've seen him quite a few times and at least at his venues, he's pretty good with his fans. Being a bit famous can probably get pretty weary out in public where they never get a moments peace. So who knows. Maybe he's human like the rest of us.
@TheKiller-yh3pi5 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that, but still that’s generally the way it goes when a celebrity meets their fans. Fans almost always walk away with a different opinion than the one they held before, better or worse. Not every entertainer can be as charming as Carey Grant, for instance, certainly not when it comes to outlaw country of all things. We’re all only human here. Maybe on that day DAC could’ve used a reminder of that. Casinos, on the other hand, are notorious for being shady, greedy, miserly, and have absolutely no respect for 99.999% of their patrons.

For those that are certain DAC has his own hair. Keep in mind he was on Stage two nights later with a Waste length Blonde wig. Just as he has been doing since early 1980's DAC has been sporting wigs. Sometimes the Band and us Road Crew would place bets on when in the show that Rug would fall off. Especially at Farm Aid Concerts. Waylon and Willie both had money on DAC's below the waist "Crystal Gayle Special" would blow away.
