Yes, you nailed it. Where I live in a small area in Northants it's truly like a baby factory. Not one or two kids but four or five and often with multiple fathers involved and of course on every benefit going. But it's not just about the poor, the celebs do it too. Narcissistic footballers and others breeding like rabbits .And now, so disappointing that the Cambridges are having another - poor example. Bet they have four.

It's not a useful discussion to have anymore. The rate of human population growth has already slowed enormously, to the extent that there are real economic downsides being felt in basically every nation outside of Africa as a result of an aging population. If you want to talk about WHERE the human population growth is and why having most human children born into abject poverty in about 50 years is a bad idea, that's useful. But they've already projected that we're going to top out at about 10 billion and no amount of discussion is going to change that unless you want to start killing the living.

Agreed. Even though some scientists claim to be brilliant, they display their ignorance when they claim that God does not exist because there is no proof. No proof …. perhaps that is why is is called BELIEF, and not scientific fact. Next they will attempt to use science to develop a stunningly original oil painting, or mathematics to make a newborn giggle. Science and mathematics are real and important in life. But they do cannot explain everything…. these are LIMITED to Science and mathematics. 🤔

Very few people ever discuss Attenborough's final statement of a pressing need to decrease human population/drop global birth rates. The simple fact is that it is political and modern economic suicide for any government to actively limit births. Our only possible saving grace is that as women are educated, science/medicine improves, and people have universal access to birth control measures, that people begin to choose for themselves to reduce how many children they have. But this issue, combined with the issues of species extinction/habitat loss and the horrifice greed and immoral actions of petroleum companies and oil magnets means that things will likely be pretty grim in the next few decades.

2. It is assumed that the system contained none of its “daughter” components. Again in the case of uranium it is assumed that there was no lead to begin with which made up the rock. First of all how do you know that? Were you there when the decay process started? Did you see that there was absolutely no lead in the rock to begin with? How do you know how much uranium has decayed into lead? 3. It is assumed that the decay rate must have been the same continually. However we know from laboratory experiments and the natural world that decay rates can change and be influenced by environmental conditions such as the earth’s weakening magnetic field. Therefore the concept of a constant decay rate without fluctuation is simply not true. 4. It is impossible to say that sample radioactive rocks used for dating have not had any natural contamination and that any other elements producing the same “daughter” elements could not have been initially present but have now disappeared without trace. This simply shows why all radio metric dating processes don’t work! Let me explain further: In the case of for instance the decay of uranium 238 into lead 206 there are 13 intermediate products which are produced and all of them are radioactive. So obviously if you start with thorium and polonium and so forth, these are all radioactive materials which are produced by the decay of uranium into lead. There are actually 14 different elements that radioactively decay to finally produce lead! If any of the other elements were created in the rock they would have decayed so quickly you wouldn’t even know they were there! All you saw was the lead, so you assume that the lead only came from uranium; this is a false assumption because the lead could have come from other radioactive materials that were created in the rock and yet by nature leave no trace of their existence.

This has an effect upon carbon 14 production in relationship to the weakening earth’s magnetic field thus decay rates vary specifically due to carbon 14 production rates. 8. Differences in phenotype and genotype can cause significant variation in the C14 found in any organism. Phenotype is a physical body and genotype the genetic information contained in it. The fact of the matter is that there are animals and plants, various kinds of creatures like humans because of their genetic code and makeup will take in more C14 or reject more C14 than another; think of this in terms of different dinosaur species, one may reject more carbon 14 than another making dating impossible! So what happens is you have no basis to know how much C14 would be in the body, you then have to make a decision on an average which is mere guess-work!

If God were to come down to earth today He would say that there are too many people. Loss of natural resources has increased at an exponential rate. I love David Attenborough because he has shown us all the beauty of God's creation. Earth is a unique planet among planets. This wonder and beauty has been so expertly displayed by Sir David Attenborough. If anyone of God's creatures has a free ticket to Heaven it will be this man. As a Seminary graduate, I have to say, it is a pity the way the deintellectualization of Christianity has grown at such an exponential rate. Even an uneducated Appalachian coal miner can quote the King James Bible verbatim in the most glowing language you have ever heard. David Attenborough has gotten me through some very rough patches in my life by instilling in me the magnificence of this lovely place we all live. In his own right, Sir David is the highest of preachers expounding the greatest of God's gifts. The rest of you can shove off as the British say.

tim phillips, what's wrong with genesis？ You preference Darwin's ape theory, which he cooked up when DNA was not even discovered? The man was walking blind in the dark. He speaks of life rising from pure chance of billions of years. But DNA is exquisite intelligent information-driven system. It even has its own chemical alphabets! You can cut and paste the code with CRISPR technology like text editing in a word processing software. To say nothing of spirituality and faith, at the heart of BIOLOGY is software design. On the non-living physics side, Genesis speaks of God Creating Light before he created the rest of the universe. We know now that there is correlation between matter and energy -- e=mc**2 -- and that light is the purest form of energy. Create the energy and transform it into matter that makes up the material-universe. It's good enough for me.

Pretty cool that later, when DNA was discovered, it confirmed evolutionary theory and made it even stronger, which is why evolutionary theory is now commonly referred to as the modern synthesis. You mentioned 'preference'..?.. it isn't about preference. It's about reality and evidence.
