Love this. It is like he took a slice of his subconscious and all the existential dread it bubbles up and laid it down in deeply profound poetry. I've walked a few miles listening to this song at various points in my life. David. If you ever read this, know that you've been a light. You're a good man.

When I was a kid, my dad died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. This song always reduces me to tears.

Ive having seizures in the past year, some of them being deadly. The knowing that the next couple seconds of life is coming and hearing the love of your life cry and panic is something that will trouble you. Every. Single. Day.

What are the chords he plays?

1Sanantoniomatute it's definitely C Am Dm G and F i think
@APTKC20256 жыл бұрын
Yeah the chords shapes are clearly in in the key of A minor, but up a full step to B with the capo on 2. Looks to me like plays G/Dm, Am, C, F, G, and Bm

I mean, you couldn't have a better view of his fingers in this vid... But one repeating line for what I'd call the verse is C Am Dm Dm/C G, then F Am F Am | F C E Am C/G F Dm Dm/C G. The "chorus" about "gonna die" is C Em Am Am/G Dm Dm/C G repeated. The outro "We go through so much trouble" to the "Ooohs" is Dm C Dm Am Dm Dm/C G | C E Am Am/G F Fm.
U know you should think about doing a gig in Portugal u know Dave? :3 This is mint!

No such thing as an "agnostic". It's like being "agnostic" about santa claus, until the evidence is finally in. Just a late 20th term made fashionable by the "new age" movements.
@lawofoneacim94676 жыл бұрын
Might want to brush up on your ancient Greek. It's not new! Gnosis means "receiving divine knowledge" or "direct experience of the Good" . "a" simply means not. An agnostic is one who says "I have not received divine truth" (that others HAVE .. lol). Not very flattering. If I may not overstep myself. You should be praying with your whole will and soul day and night ... to receive the beatific vision! Things are not what the appear on the surface! How will you know if you simply reject, reject, reject? One more thing. Read the Ra Material.

Law of One: People will respect you more if you are not trying to force things on them. Gnosticism is a qualifier to theism. I suspect the majority of theists in America are agnostic. 'An agnostic is one who says "I have not received divine truth" (that others HAVE .. lol). Not very flattering.' And a Gnostic is one who says "I am both elitist and delusional."
