I watched the Netflix documentary and there is literally nothing in it where David or Victoria said anything about her that made her a liar or that made David a victim! They just said it was very difficult, they suffered as a husband and spouse after that affair, David was sorry he did that to his wife. And IMO that was all that should have been said. David didn't deny the affair and you can see that he was absolutely sorry for what he did. So why did the lover have to comment on it? Things that she said are a complete lie - she said he didn't take any responsibility. How did she conclude that? Because it seems to me he took all the responsibility by admitting the affair and fixing his marriage. He is devoted to the wife, not to the lover. But the lover, seems, has a problem she didn't get more attention.

I also watched the Netflix documentary and all he says is that it was a very difficult time for them, never once he said: that was my fault I chose to hurt and lie to my wife and children I chose to go with someone else behind her back time and time again. I didn't finish the documentary thinking or hearing that Rebecca had lied about the affair, I felt that the Beckhams mentioned it and then skipped over it. I felt that David was saying that due to his actions Victoria being so hurt was his biggest regret and Victoria saying that she chose to work through it. I also felt that the Beckhams explained the circumstances of why the affair happened , both Beckhams saying that they didn't feel close at the time but very isolated from each other.

Victoria is stronger than I gave her credit for, she is an absolute power house, I really like her since watching the documentary. Truth is that we don't know what really happened (or didn't happen). However, it's a bit rich of Rebecca to complain given that she's the one that sold her "story" in the first place and it's her actions that made it go public. The fact that it's still been discussed at all is only because she went public with it. Now that she has moved on in life and has a reputation to protect is incidental and a reflection of the fact that she wasn't thinking about her reputation when she sold her story. I watched the documentary, and my take away at the time was that the affair was real, and it was a big problem in their marriage. I didn't leave thinking that he had denied it or anyone was lying. I think reading between the lines, because there was no outright denial, I believed the affair had happened.

Nothing in this documentary said or even insinuated she was a liar. My takeaway was that he was ashamed and hated what his actions- and the coverage of it- was doing to his wife. It seemed obvious to me that his non-denial and attempt to explain that time in his life was a clear confirmation it happened. I was impressed at the strength the Beckhams showed moving past it together and seemingly becoming a stronger couple. This woman has the right to talk to the media, but I think she’s projecting and I don’t know what she’s expecting to accomplish.
