I haven't heard what he said yet still watching, I think what non-fighters (fans) understand as fear, for champs its more like distain or contempt with concern, like "I've done my heavy lifting so I got nothing to prove." I still disagree with it though, as long as you're the champ you should be fighting the next best guy and David has been the next best SMW for long time now. UFC champs dont have the privilege to stall and inflate their resumes. Boxer's do. Edit: I heard it now, IMO I think both Henry and Kumaru have a point. Henry basically saying he's straight up avoiding David because he's not confident he can beat him and knows he stands a good chance at loosing that fight.

@@HASHxFaceBOXING I disagree, if we say why give him that opportunity, then Floyd should have never fought Canelo? Oscar should have never fought Floyd? What have guys like Munguia, Ryder or Saunders done that's better than David? The fact that Canelo wants such a big payday to fight him disproves what you're saying, if he hasn't done much than why the mega payday request of $200 million to fight a guy not worth it? Doesn't add up. Canelo wants that because that's the amount that equals the risk. I understand the politics of boxing, I was a longtime boxing fan before MMA, and it's BS. @@Namehere129 he’s put his price out there bc of how easily ppl like u get manipulated. If enough ppl keep crying that they wanna see the fight, it might blow up into a big pay day. How do u think Floyd vs pac made so much money? You are correct David is a nonchampion, so canelo has to make it worth something and that is money. Generating interest and a narrative that maybe just maybe this this 6’3” limited fighter and weight bully can beat him (he won’t). Floyd made over $100M against a guy who 0-0 in Connor mcgregor - u think he was scared to fight Connor at any point? Benavidez and his team have been caught on multiple lies already. All I know is that canelo has fought close to 20 world champs across 4 divisions, what about lil David? None of us know the actual truth but I’m leaning on the history and evidence. If fighting Bivol is so easy why doesn’t he go up and take his belt? Do you like people who just talk and make noise or people that have a proven track record? I don’t get it. The fight will happen. Remember when y’all were crying that Floyd vs pac would never happen, or Spence vs Crawford? The big fights happen eventually but you better believe both teams are in some sort of cohoots so that both sides make the most money. This is what they do for a living it’s not a hobby or a KZbin channel to them. Until then it’s a lot of bs from both sides but usually 1 side has more bs than the other. Look at Usyk vs fury - who was bsing in that one? This ain’t the nba, nfl, or the ufc where everything is centralized to 1 gov body that puts the money up for every game to happpen. Go look up some Sam lewkotiz interviews and how he purposely stalled the plant fight and this fight by demanding the tv rights lol. If you don’t get the significance of that I can’t help you son. The world ain’t black and white like we think it should be.
@Namehere1293 ай бұрын
@@phillipjayfries6921 comparing pac to Benavides or Benavides to Connor is ludicrous. Reason why mayweather did a lot of money is because he faced big names . Awesome Show Phenomenal Interview Fighters Point of View."!! Asking questions from a Fighters View is The Absolute Best 👌 way to get total insight.! David as u can tell from his posture is actually very comfortable & relaxed. David doesn't have to explain much or go into details of a Fighters world. Because these awesome guys come from the same world pretty much."!!

It's sad to see every interview with David involves Canelo. Reminds of Vargas and De La Hoya. His entire career is revolved around Canelo. I wouldn't even speak on the topic anymore. Time for him to create his own legacy at 175.

Canelo needs to fight David... you cant call your self the best, if you didnt fight the best during your time as champ. Fighter now age fighter out and/or catch them young just to get a W in the win column. It no longer about proving your the best.

Bivol said it many times sparring isn't fighting you're trying to learn in sparring. But in a real fight bivol smokes david for 12 rounds and beterbiev probably knocks him out.
@88chimes3 ай бұрын
I have to agree. I doubt Bivol was giving a 22 year old a hard time in sparring. He probably was just sharpening himself up so David shouldn't put much stock in that like he is. And I agree Beterbiev would slice through David and KO him
@HASHxFaceBOXING3 ай бұрын
Facts bivol sparring is situational response based every time . Meaning he’s working on one thing or to deal with a certain situation the whole session. In the other hand David is one of those guys that looks at sparring as soft fight.. not the same at all

DeLaHoya same, Jorge Posada same, and Tiger Woods as well in terms of dad pushing them from very young ages..They didmt have a typical "childhood" but they were all great at their sport because they put in the time, legends. Thats what it takes, it's a sacrifice and it beats many of the alternatives that involve bad/irreversible decisions by teens.

I do want to see that canelo fight but benavidez can make his own path, he goes out there takes the ibf belt and now we get a unification fight.
