Amazing stuff from Caleb. A shame the judges didnt award Caleb the decision. David couldnt get past Caleb's stick for the first 7 rounds. Caleb was using little side steps and clinches to dictate the tempo. I had Caleb winning easy. Good work Breadman.

Caleb was winning the Eddie Haskell award for being polite around the grown ups but provoking David cause the top brass gave Caleb the high percentage of the purse and hasn't put the duke's up like Dave has getting people into his style getting called a monster was bad timing from the legend biter of flesh and spit Evaders ear back at him after chewing on it like he needs to be tranquilized and I was rooting for Mike but he lost all discipline with being a student of the art I thought he'd get back in form fight after fight and that was it. No Mexican Monster David is is ferocious but he has his style and breaks his opponent down with punishment talks to the reporters professionally but he's going on the fighting word's with anyone who talks about him when he's not there then does the Eddie Haskell when he is like your out of control 😅 white chocolate playing his role well he got Darell heated up too but it's about the skills.

I think Plant is very good boxer but him running as much as he did plus not getting warned for excessive holding made it impossible for David to KO him. Clinches are common in pro Boxing, especially the top level so you have to work on getting body shots and uppercuts in clinches. But David did a good job with that

I really wish Plant could thump on the inside..He's got extremely good technical skill and has good speed and athleticism. He just can't get the respect of tough pressure fighters. If he had a great inside game he'd be unstoppable imo

Was it Caleb Plant style of fighting that made Benavides not put his combination together. Benavides reflexes not as fast as usual. Could it be all that muscles he gained from weight training slowed him down to where he could not put his punches together like he normally do?

Thing is Caleb is prolly top 3 in terms of counter punchers in the division. And also his IQ may be the best too. So against such a boxer throwing combinations mindlessly like he did against dirrel may be a bad option. The game plan to walk him down and make Caleb to take the first move was the correct way.

And he did, but David used forearms and elbows as a protest to the excessive clinching, not to really hurt Plant. So in the overall I'm on David's side on this, it has to stop, excessive clinching have to be punished by refs, apart from unfair, it makes boxing look bad.
