What else do we expect from david bernstein except sound common sense and his opinion on FFP which of course should be in place to principally protect clubs from themselves by not incurring debts beyond their control. Instead it has been focussed on spending rather than preventing a Leeds or a Bury or a Portsmouth. I am so glad he is thriving-- and I am one of those supporters of a certain age.

Massive respect to David Bernstein. Without his huge contribution when the club was on its knees and facing oblivion, we simply wouldn’t be where we are now. Despite all the magnificent trophy success since the 2011 FA Cup victory, that game against Gillingham will always be THE most important game in our history, DB was there along with the brilliantly loyal fanbase, and what we have now is reward for sticking with the club in those dark days. Great to see him looking so well.

Sir David bernstein, when we wernt really there he joined the club and gave us hope to make us believe that we are the ones with the faith and drove us forward, it was his belief in our club that won the nation the right to hold the commonwealth games and then for us to take over the stadium for virtually nowt. He certainly paved the way for where we are today. Maybe a statue with him overlooking the others would be a perfect tribute?

I agree the current FFP rules are anti competitive and have trapped Everton (possibly twice) and Forest. Funny how long term debts have not featured in these rules.

Why is citys cases 115 not being heard until November after the rues have been changed ,where as forest 1 charge and everton 2 charges Are to be heard asap ? I mean forests goes back for one season we were in the championship,where as man city have charges going back to around 2011 ,

Well I have to say, I'm really relieved that David has been working with the powers that be, to make the game fairer for all. It was tragic them taking points of Everton, when they were just trying to build a new ground. Thanks Ian 🩵
