He really sounded pretentious on this show, but he was awful on TFI Friday as he tried too hard to be wacky. The girl in the video was a Warhol muse. In the early days of Ziggy Bowie, Pop, Jagger, Plant, Tyler, Page, Angie & many others had sex with the underage groupies including Lori Mattix aged 14 y/o; there were an infamous group who hung around bars; notably Stable Starr, Pamela Barres, Babe Buell & Julia Holcomb. Steve Tyler lead singer of Aerosmith got her mother's permission to be her guardian. they lived together when she was 13 & when she was old enough he proposed but changed his mind due to his family's horror; she became pregnant at 16 & he forced her to have an abortion; when he began dating another woman he threw her out with nothing. A documentary was made about it all called Look Away, Iggy Pop shamelessly made a single of the same name about his his underage sexual exploits. Bowie was such a bullshitter, he often rearranged history around his life, work & inspirations. I made a website in the 90s which had a fan page to Bowie which I put in Bowie Wonderworld called The Mainman, it was both complimentary & frank about how controlled everything was, even down to the fans pushed up onstage to embrace him, I kicked the security when they tried to push me up. I had blocked his limosene accidentally as I stood in the road at the Birmingham Town Hall, his smile was mesmerising but Angie scowled until I realised & moved out of the way. The concert was magical. I don't know why I turned away when Ronson was doing a solo & bent down to kiss me on the lips, I think it was the faces he pulled as he played. I also put a link from The Mainman to my own website which had many pages (web space was given freely at that time) about different topics; one had a feature on art as concept over content; sex, violence & death as statements presented as art with a dead shark, names of one night stands in a tent, an unmade bed, plus performance art which included self harm, a guy with HIV being cut & prints of his blood hung in front of the audience - I wondered how far this dark trend would go & whether defacing classical art would become statement art (I made a few examples, one of cherubs sprayed & one of Jesus or Mary sliced), my own poetry & art - I didn't join Bowienet, a short biography of my abusive childhood & disastrous relationships (I reflected ambiguously on my affair with a young woman), these were translated into Thursday's Child (the first line I used as I didn't want to write my date of birth), Survive, Something in The Air & more. On my Bowie page I said it would be nice to have a second Pin Ups, he later said he didn't finish the project so stuck the songs in Heathen. From all of that came Outside, Hours & some influence on Heathen. He was awkward in interviews & I said he should relax as he didn't need to impress (he does connect in this interview). I gave him a backhanded compliment around his age & he wrote a message saying he enjoyed my site & I was very pretty when I was young in response. One pic I posted was of me in front of my boyfriends Jaguar Mark 3 which he said was his favourite car on the Ross promotion of Hours (removed from KZbin after his death) along with other references, his haircut is the same as a pic of my first partners but he later compared it to Space Oddity - no!. In several interviews he portrayed me as a tragic figure which wasn't true; my life had been but I had reached a happy place in being single & not manipulated. I also wrote my early years were in Stratford on Avon, on his Earthling tour he did a performance on a nearby disused airfield, this was the first time a famous person played there, but by that time I had moved to an untraceable place in Warwickshire with no internet. I started to look for connections like Little Wonder; I banked at Abbey National but dismissed it as coincidence. In a couple of places I criticised religion as being immoral; centres of violence & paedophilia, promoting J Krishnamurti's work on not following religious authority, I also said M Manson was just holding a mirror up to society. This comes up in The Next Day on 3 tracks, I don't know why but he added a critique at the talented Joni Mitchell (who I also did a page on) in [You Will] Set the World On Fire he references Grenwhich Village folk singers at the time she emerged - Orchs (who also wrote a song called Changes), Seeger, Bobby (Dylan), Baez, cleverly putting names of venues they played at (Gaslight & Bitter End) "She's the real deal..she is in the boat & we are in the water". Odetta was a striking black civil rights singer who influenced the Village scene. Mitchell also changed genres & Bowie complimented her in a Playboy interview, the song sounded aggressive & hostile. Feel So Lonely You Could Die (yet another allusion to Elvis) was aimed at the belligerent & jealous Morrissey who plagiarised 2 Ziggy songs with It's Gonna Happen Someday, while supporting Bowie's Outside tour he left in a tantrum, Bowie responded with wry wit - see video below, it is not a KZbin video. I think Bowie was like two people, one nice & the other unkind & cynical which would swing given the wrong word. I'm so glad I helped to revive his career after his long artistically barren period following Let's Dance, he made some very good music after. Many will dislike the truth that Bowie had sex with underage girls (including Dana Gillespie) but none said he took advantage of them, unlike Gary Glltter he was not a predator, - the 12- 14 y/o groupies did pursue male stars but they were starstruck kids the same age as me. Pop says in his song Look Away I would not do it again but he had sex with Sable repeatedly, he blames his drug habit & the scene but should take responsibility. This was many decades before adult women began the "me too" movement. On being offered a knighthood he said it had no relevance to him which I admired. davidbowienews.com/2019/05/david-bowie-interview-glasgow-1995/ interview on Morrissey leaving tour by Sottish Media (not KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3u7hYmrnZmcga8si=i6j2dpAn8ibygUoc Bowie & Ronson cover It's Gonna Happen Someday - sue for plagiarism or cover with humour kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpqVf5iqi6etf8Usi=-PH2ucYbOCEpCbt4 Look Away - Iggy Pop further demeans the underage groupies in reflection without remorse kzbin.info/www/bejne/noCncn-Fic57bKMsi=0MSylwYar-mOfrdF after Waters became more unstable like Morrisey Pink Floyd split - this is a brilliant duet of Gilmour & Bowie singing Comfortably Numb

Always feel a bit negative about Bowie's 90's. He was somewhat lost, adapting to the trends rather than creating them, eager to reconnect with youth so making the mistake of appearing in dross like this. So glad the world got over the 90's 'yoof' hangover and remembered what a cultural icon and legendary mind he really was. No appearances on zany morning shows for Ziggy in the 2000's, thank God.
