For some reason, this was the best part of the movie for me. Not saying the movie was bad, I enjoyed it, but I LOVE this song!

Bowie was one of the few artist who knew how to incorporate the sax in pop music. Not too much, not added in for noise, and doesn't sound like it's honking, or takes away from the rest. He will be missed.... he helped shaped my generation. Those brief few years in the 80s seemed to define us, even after all these years. Hate to say it kids, things were better before cell phones.

When Freddie sings "WHY CANT WE GIVE LOVE GIVE LOVE GIVE LOVE ?..".....THAT is the best point in time in this whole song...JUST A RIVOTING MOMENT .Fredie just SQUEEZES hid hands with every time he sings"GIVE LOVE.."...... It just a TRULY MAGICAL ARTISTIC MOMENT THAT I FEEL BLESSED TO WITNESS IN THIS LIFETIME..... Both David and Fredie, waere TRUE GENIUS ARTISTS....... I do know that it will be many lifetimes again before we hear the likes of them again...

I have to say, one of the many good things about "Cool World" was the music, especially this David Bowie gem! Yet, I don't personally think that it's a "terrible" movie, just one with alot of hidden cinematic potential that could've (and still COULD) make it a great movie. I think that there should seriously be either a remake or a re-imagining/reboot of "Cool World." If there's anybody out there who agrees with me, please respond to this comment.
@jadedheartsz2 жыл бұрын
agreed, it was originally supposed to be an R-rated horror film with Drew Barrymore but the producer was tired of doing horror films and wanted to do something different.
@velociraptor4you32912 жыл бұрын
@@jadedheartsz Glad you think so (😊). I don't necessarily fault Frank Mancuso Jr. (the producer) for wanting to do something different. But the WAY he went about it behind Ralph Bakshi's back? *Not* cool.
@jadedheartsz2 жыл бұрын
@@velociraptor4you3291 yeah definitely, after doing all those F13 films I can understand wanting a change of pace, but he should've brought it up with Bakshi first.
@velociraptor4you32912 жыл бұрын
@@jadedheartsz I've read in an old comics magazine that he and Bakshi were in talks with each other and collaborated with each other over the phone regarding the film's script. I'm not 100% buying it, though, but perhaps SOME of it is true.

Thanks, I really mean that! Today's film industry is remaking a lot of movies that were popular before ("Footloose, Fright Night, Red Dawn, Total Recall," etc.) because they believe that the current young generation won't appriciate the originals. But what about the movies that could've been popular but weren't? What about the movies that have a lot of hidden potential and they just need the right director, cast, and crew to bring it out? "Cool World" is one of those movies that needs it.
