Thats sweet man. I had a chance to buy a cropmaster diesel last year and passed on it. Still kicking myself. It wasn't a prairie just the standard.

Darwin Gaston in Northern Ireland imported a prairie cropmaster, might be worth dropping him a msg on Facebook- being a kerosene cropmaster, it’ll likely be very fast on the road - anything up to 30mph , my friend had a later “super cropmaster “ it would do that kind of speed

Hi I am in the uk I have owned and restored a couple of these tractors. One had the same tank problem as yours. I had 2 solutions. One was to run it on petrol (gasoline ) only, or I had the tank cut open and a new divider welded in. Welding a petrol or gasoline tank can be very dangerous so I got someone else to do it. If and when you do get it running don’t be alarmed by the noisy transmission. They are all like that, even models built much later than yours.

I plan on running petrol only as kerosene is very expensive in the states. Yeah the transmission is quite noisy just like my 900 diesel and many of our later David Browns.

David Brown tractors over here in UK are famous for the casting of the engine blocks and cylinder heads being the Achilles heel of these tractors to the extent if anyone is selling one they comment and say block has been repaired or this is a rarity the block is whole 👍

Only was the Achilles heel if they didn’t check the antifreeze! Some of the early VAK’s had a recess nr the water tap that used to hold water, but decent doze of antifreeze kept them ok , our dealer used to offer free checks and top ups lol

I hàve a petrol i have bumber 12! Imported back from canada u also have tvo and a diesel lovely tractor never bew thet made it ti USA mune came from Canada france sweden

@@Truerealism747 I have not. I'd buy a "row cropmaster" or a crawler if I found one. Only seen one crawler over this side of rhe pond and it was in Canada so I wasn't going to mess with it. A thresherman would be really cool to own as well.
