The artist has a sensible view about how life seems to make no sense. "When we get older and stop making sense." He saw it coming..

"Doing The Right Thing" - David Byrne, 2018. I'm always, I'm always doing the right thing (that's right) I'm always, I'm always doing the right thing (help me now) What am I supposed to do with this? What am I supposed to know about this? What am I supposed to have in my hands? What is written on that paper you have? I'm always doing the right thing I'm doing the right thing (help me now) What am I not supposed to do now? What's that and is it my business? What exactly, exactly did you tell me? What's good, does that mean it's right? I'm always doing the right thing I'm doing the right thing She and I visit the tourist shrines We are proud of our automobile She picks out some arts and crafts I'm deep into the local cuisine Let me show you my latest CD Let me take you to the restaurant Let me drive you to my country house I hope you appreciate [?] I'm always doing the right thing I'm doing the right thing I'm not alone And we're all the same And the world won't end It will just change its name Now give me the bat Give me the ball This is my job Let's get involved Give me the phone Give me the sign Give me good luck What's yours is mine I'm always doing the right thing I'm doing the right thing I'm always doing the right thing I'm doing the right thing I'm always doing the right thing I'm doing the right thing

His lawyers said to sue the remaining Talking Heads over music rights. He almost did. He didn’t. Because David Byrne always does the right thing!!!

Matt Sherman ive been hearing it a lot lately if you catch my drift. I got a very strange feeling on 4 hits of lsd the night he died and i had my suspicions before then about the new material surfacing. Then i got blackstar and that night i hadnt even opened it yet. I was waiting for the right moment. As soon as this odd discomfort passed at the peak of my trip. It was this odd pain in my stomach. Then it felt like something passed through me, and i got a text from my friend liam, telling me i was right about my suspicions and that bowie had died. To this day i truly believe he passed through me. And into me. I think thats what happened to every musician and fan who really understood him in an odd personal way had experienced in one way or another. His immense influence is only now truly being put into scope. Look at the new arctic monkeys album, look at villains from qotsa... he’s everywhere now.
