Reminds me of my dad. The Talking Heads was his favorite band along side of many other bands. The car rides with my dad was epic and full of wonderful music. Now I get to pass the car rides to my daughters. I really miss my dad. The Talking Heads is a nice reminder of my dad and my childhood.

I'd be honored if some David Byrne & Talking Heads fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performance of THIS MUST BE THE PLACE (re-interpreted as a ballad) on my YT channel in tribute to one of the most unique & iconic bands of the late 70s/early 80s era. Raw acoustic with no digital editing. Thanks and peace.

This is one of the very few songs that make me want to combust in joy as well as drown in misplaced sadness at the same time. I can’t quite put my finger on why it triggers so many buttons in me- is it the composition, the lyrics, his vocals, what is it I don’t know. Or does it have to do with that tendril-like bassline that loops on from front to end... It can’t be explained. It’s one song I really want to listen to if I were given five songs to listen before I die.
