David Franck Charvet, born 15 May 1972 is a French singer, actor, model, and television personality. Charvet was born and raised in Lyon, France, the son of Christiane Charvet Haddad and businessman Paul Guez, founder of the Sasson brand of jeans in the 1980s. He won a green card through the Morrison visa lottery in the early 1990s. In 1999, he left acting to pursue a music career. Until recently, Charvet lived in his native France, where he toured (among other parts of Europe) as a singer.

I’m going to defend him a bit here. It’s obvious to me that the label made him do it as, for example, he’s done a show where he surprised a fan, sat down with her and sang for her with his guitar and it was lovely. It all comes down to the label execs sometimes who don’t believe in the artist which is funny in this very case as the song is about having a little faith in someone.
