I disagree. It was a sparkling performance and an imaginative arrangement. Music is a living thing and I don't see any reason why it should always sound exactly the same as it always has.

My maternal family (Rice) ancestors lived in Harlech - they would CRINGE! Despite that the playing was excellent.....

I don't necessarily think that music shouldn't adapted or modified. I love the contemporary arrangement of Sospan Fach, but something about this version of Men of Harlech just doesn't sit right for me. Just my opinion, of course.

What on earth has he done to Men of Harlech! Good playing, but not impressed by the composer's 'jazzing up' of this classic.
