We need more folks like this in the world. In the decade I spent as a homeless traveller I met many street sages and am convinced some of them if born in another time would be considered prophets or gurus of great renown.

No disrespect but why would they have to be born in another time. If they are brilliant they could adapt to their surroundings. And isn’t that the point, is they didn’t want to be ‘great’ or ‘successful’ as we like to throw around so much and just try to live life the way they see fit.

I met a guy kinda like him in my town. His name was bag man. Instead of art, he just handed out poetry to random people sometimes. One day he handed one to my mom and she put it on our fridge. That was in 2008 and she still talks about him. Homeless are the kindest, most interesting people.

Thank you so much seriously David. I don’t know if you understand how impactful and amazing and beautiful this video is. This man is a REAL person, and so much of what we see online is fake as fuck. I wish we could hear and see more real people like Lovell. I have family like him. I hang out with them for fun as an artist. I hear my family tell stories of wisdom while using their wild imagination and I’m amazed every time. I have wished I could share online the real people in my life but it’s so hard to know how. First I thought the guy should sell Choe´s portrait, make a bunch of money and leave the streets. But he doesn´t need the money, he doesn´t want to sell it, because he´s truly free. Money is not the energy he needs, but compassion and love between us all. Peace David, thank you for this.
