This song was Wedding first dance. Back then, this song didn't quite make sense, but now, ten years later, it fits perfectly as I watch the video of the first dance. ❤

Last night I was lucky enough to see David Cook live in a small venue in NH, and even though I've listened to this song a hundred times, hearing it live, after he talked about growing up with his brothers, brought on the tears. So beautiful.

Love this song so much! Universally relatable lyrics that touch the heart on such a personal level - and that whiskey & honey voice. What more could a person ask for?

Love this song. The message is universal..I don't know why but I get a bit of a Country Vibe with this song.....with a few tweaks I can hear this on Country radio.`

This may be my favorite song on Digital Vein. Beautifully performed we can all relate to it's sentiments. Written by David Cook and Kevin Griffin.

Does anyone think Criminals, Where do we go, this song and Firing Squad is like a series that related to each other? I mean like: we are being hunted like animals => running away anywhere => get caught (hanging on the death row innocent) => death sentence. I think it is pretty cool! :) Anyway, I especially love this song. As awesome as always, his beautiful voice mix with the lyrics make me feel so deep and think a lot about my ex-love. "Is it you or the alcohol?" I just can say it is wonderful!

It would be great if they'd upload videos here on KZbin or audios on Spotify commenting about the songs' story and how it was written. Song commentaries are really interesting.

I really like this.. If I could cover the distance Would it make any difference With all the sorrow and the joy Frozen in the celluloid? Looking over your shoulder

[Verse 1] Chasing ghosts in a hotel parking lot 'Round and 'round till the stars go out Never knowing that the best we'd ever get Was in the here and now [Verse 2] Just another old home movie With no sound but it's deafening Chasing ghosts in a hotel parking lot Till the frame burns out [Chorus] Looking over your shoulder You never get any older Every memory's come and gone I can't believe it's been so long If I could cover the distance Would it make any difference With all the sorrow and the joy Frozen in the celluloid? Looking over your shoulder (Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Looking over your shoulder [Verse 3] Thoughts blur every time I look away Is it you or the alcohol? Hanging on like a death row innocent Waiting for the call [Verse 4] I don't know what I'm looking for A light shining through an open door? But it's enough just to have you here again Living on the wall [Chorus] Looking over your shoulder You never get any older Every memory's come and gone I can't believe it's been so long If I could cover the distance Would it make any difference With all the sorrow and the joy Frozen in the celluloid? Looking over your shoulder (Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Looking over your shoulder (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) [Chorus] Looking over your shoulder You never get any older Every memory come and gone I can't believe it's been so long If I could cover the distance Would it make any difference With all the sorrow and the joy Frozen in the celluloid? Looking over your shoulder (Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Looking over your shoulder
