just showed this to my boys, as they "accidentally" pulled the cd liner apart while i was listening to the CD and started doing on their own whats in this video. still not sure what to make of the CD yet. loved their last one- this one just has styles so all over the place, and not those 1 or 2 signature songs like the last one had. it was kind of like a "we're closing down the band, everything must go" Cd and they unloaded the entire kitchen sink on the 2 discs.

I'd have to agree with you, patty7beth. It flows very nicely, possibly the band's best work. I so wish I'd gotten the vinyl...oh well.

Many times with Christian bands. Their breaking apart is a calling from the Lord to do so, the idea of the Album "Give us Rest" is hinting at that they all need some good rest. I can sense that message as I listened to the first two singles. And David going solo, was probably a calling to take a break from leading the full band. I do not hold anything against their decision to break apart, because Christian bands are unlike secular bands when deciding to do so.

Plus, they have funny youtube videos of the breaking apart and whole form of The Digital Age. And I'm sure most of it is humor, and acting. I'm sure there is no hard feelings. But yeah, I kind of get what your saying though just wanted to make that point.

@RAEF715 Wow, I'd say the opposite. Far from a "kitchen sink" mish-mash -very structured sequences that flow harmoniously as a unit more & more as you listen. Love it all, but tend to listen to sections at a time - 3-4 songs in a section that flow. Listen to Oh My God / I Am A Seed / After All (Holy) as a good example. As to signature songs - so many! Touring to support the CD would have helped, but at least 10 songs on this should've been massive radio hits."Oh Great Love of God" for example.
