Lithium batteries don't work like that. They overheat, emit dense white smoke, burst into flames, and sometimes burst. The "explosion" is very small. This had to be actual explosives.

The battery was hacked to get hot which set off a primer which set off a high explosive.

The explosive used was PETN.

I am going to tell you how the beepers and other devices were made to explode because I like David Daoud. No explosives were used. Software was sent to the electronic devices which enabled them to be taken over and reconfigured internally. I believe the batteries were short circuited creating a sudden and violent release of energy from the battery. Boom. That hurts.

You are incorrect. Batteries don't explode, they just burn. There is no way to short circuit a battery by software.

Incorrect not just burn. Lithium battery does explode and dangerous. If you had work in oil and gas (yes I am) there are some cases the well survey tools recorder small battery exploded. ( in use and not charge mode)

@@nikoyameh some cases in other words not consistent as was the case here. Therefore it was explosives
