David “DHH” Heinemeier Hansson the creator of Ruby on Rails, founder and CTO at Basecamp (formerly 37signals), and the best-selling co-author of Rework and Remote: Office Not Required. Oh, and he went from not having a driver’s license at 25 to winning, at 34, the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world. It is often called the “Grand Prix of endurance and efficiency.”
David is one of the most outspoken technologists out there. He is not one to hide his opinions or mince words.
Enjoy!

Tim I love the short in-between video episode s. please do more. Plus you should do a round two interview with the Iceman Wim Hof. I just had the privilege of seeing him live at Tony Robbins in San Jose this past weekend. He blew my mind and I'm sure it's all 11,000 attendees would chime in and forward that episode to everyone they know so it snowballs into many many downloads.

DHH's explanation of Ruby's omage to Perl at 55:00 misses the fact that Ruby is a birthstone (July) and Pearl is a birthstone (June). The name Ruby came because it was one-better than Perl, like C & C++.

1:28:30 The story he shared here is exactly one of Jordan Peterson's rules: Don't compare to others, compare yourself today to what's yesterday. Always strive for self improvements.
