I truly believe we have the power to dismantle, or at the very least deflate LOL 😂, celebrity culture. I would argue media companies are a lot more powerful than us in that regard, as it stands, but we’re the ones that can drain them of clicks and views too. I always felt like watching thru “third party reporters” 😂 like drama channels was unproblematic bc ‘hey at least I’m not lining their pockets’ but attention is a currency these days too… I find it impossible to make it thru “drama” videos now bc other things are more important haha. Every now and then I’ll click and it just turns to bg noise. I’m starting to see more and more of the “we need to stop making stupid ppl rich and famous” but I’ve never seen anyone propose an actual plan. I have some ideas but lmk 😂😂😂

@@DianaLopezDlo you think Jeff agreeing to do the stunt excuses David from taking any responsibility?? Why was he renting and operating an excavator when one, he doesn’t have a license to operate machinery like that, and two he was vlogging ON TOP of not knowing how to properly operate the Fucking machine. Also there’s a very clear power dynamic within the squad where David is the ring leader and the rest are just his circus monkeys. Jeff probably felt pressured into doing the stunt. Here’s my opinion because I live in LA. It IS overprice pizza! I’m tired of everyone saying it’s “not overprice” because it’s LA. I’ve lived here my whole life and truly would not pay $6 for a tiny slice of pizza like that unless it’s village pizza! Although I do have to say it does look good! I’ve had people say it doesn’t taste bad as well. (I’m vegan now, so unfortunately can’t try it )I feel like if he had this at the $3-4 dollar range he would attract more of the masses and not just his fans. Although the free ice cream is enticing for most people. His biggest downfall is going to be that damn parking. The pizza shop was first mentioned around 2019-2020 but I think he really sped things up after the Jeff incident since he lost a bunch of supporters. I've seen reviews in which supply and demand issues are discussed, such as not having full-sized pizzas in the box that David talked so much about, you can only by 3 slices per person, the pizza boxes are unbranded, they are no longer giving tokens... So, in the best Gabbie Hannah fashion, David needs to manage his expectations. I think he was ready for an opening, but I don't think he's yet ready to keep his restaurant fully open, let alone more locations across the US.

To be fully honest, as someone who manages multiple businesses, I can understand the change in hours. Trying to find ALOT of ingredients In bulk and in Los Angeles, is an absolute nightmare. Not to mention, packaging company’s are moving a lot slower as well because of the lack of materials and man power. All that combined and I could see how they may have thought they would’ve had enough materials to last them until their set hours. If anyone has worked at a pizzeria, it takes time to make dough. And you could only make a certain amount before you open the day. So yeah, the hourly change makes sense and so does them having to reduce the amount they sell until the hype goes down and they’re able to bake full pies without running out within a few hours. As for the prices, that’s not too far off from a lot of other pop up pizza shops. Also take into consideration that their rent is more likely around $20k+ a month and that’s not including utilities( around $2k a month) , groceries ($10k+ month) and employee salaries. Those prices have to make them enough to cover all cost and still make a profit.

As someone who has worked as an executive assistant for a 5-star hotel, I doubt he could successfully run any hotel if his pizza place is struggling out the gate. I'm just saying. Running/owning a hotel is straight madness. There's so many moving parts and departments, staff, etc. And from what I can tell his pizza spot is compact and they are already going back on what they promised. I've seen the type of complaints even a 5-star hotel can get for the most asinine things, so the stakes are much higher.

Do they not flash bake it in the oven to warm? There are toasters/ oven conveyer belts that warm or cook whatever food on a conveyer, you can make the belt go as quick or slow as needed, or get a convection pizza oven... why keep pizza in a warmer and only give it out from under the warmer?? All these influencer turned entrepreneur pipelines are kind of an eye roll bc while it may be a cash grab, Some of these ventures are not well thought out with chefs or special ingredients in mind. Just the 'guaranteed' sell to fans to make it a sound investment. Now you dont know what's a good product and its hard to want to support your fans bc you don't know if they did it the right way or no one on their team knows what they're doing 😕

I worked at a pizza place, they don't sell by the slice, but the prices were around the same. But at the same time everyone knew our pizza was expensive. It's a local place so naturally they can't afford much so the prices make sense. David has a lot of money so he is able to price for less profit, but I don't think those prices are too terrible. ( I also live in Alaska so shipping here is expensive so that prob is why our prices were higher)

I’m not a Dobrik fan. But honestly those prices seem almost average to me. At least in my area in Canada. You almost can’t go get a pizza without hearing someone complain about how small the “large” is. Which I quietly agree with them…the pizzas seem to get smaller and cost more as the years go on. I don’t think I could get a single slice and a can of coke for less than $10.

The prices are normal for where it’s located. it’s LA, in a major city, and in a popular street. That’s the price of food nowadays. Also anyone that’s worked in the restaurant industry knows that opening a restaurant will have a lot of up’s and downs within the first couple months even up to a year. They’re probably still hiring, don’t have enough opening staff members so they can only have the night/ closing shift. There’s gonna be a lot of figuring things out going on for the next several months, even the most established restaurants have issues come up from time to time
@roxy2106

@joivenae2812
@joivenae2812 Жыл бұрын
@@roxy2106 with the looming recession everything is bound to go up, this is a new restaurant so the prices make sense for somewhere new. An established restaurant probably has way better connections (they’re able to save more money when buying bigger bulk of stock or maybe they know someone that hooks them up with deals for meat,produce, etc) so they are able to offer better deals/prices to their guests.
@joivenae2812
@joivenae2812 Жыл бұрын
And the reason I mention recession and prices is that I currently work at a corporate restaurant and we’ve received notices that prices are going on both on food and alcohol sales (10% specifically alc) so I can assume smaller businesses are being hit with the same back end costs that we eventually see as a consumer

I don’t think David misunderstood the guy talking about the one being better bc it’s warmer. When I was serving if people complained about food not being fresh, I acknowledged it, fixed it, and immediately tried to offer something better bc you don’t want them leaving with that being the biggest thing in their mind. You have to redirect AFTER correcting the situation or you didn’t actually save the meal. He did the same thing I would’ve done in that position after he offered the guy a fresh slice; he talked about the different flavor of the fresh slice to change the focus from the bad pizza to the good pizza

1.) It doesn’t sound like the workers are throwing the pie slices in the oven like they should be. Suppose to through in the slice for a good min or two. Instead they are thinking the warmers are keeping them at heat. It’s more so a presentation thing at Pizza restaurants to pick your slice. Kind of an enticing thing rather than this is how we serve thing. Hopefully they fix that. 2.) not having Regular Hours or a full menu is no no in this industry. 3.) working in pizza in college and picking the brains of some of the best pizza entrepreneurs in Chicago, it’s cheap AF to make pizza. Don’t get greedy. High pie cost will kill Volume reputation and loyalty. 4) still people trying to live the dream and build something. So I’m proud of them. But get a consultant if it’s not ace after being open for a bit
