He never got the credit he deserves. He’s one of the most impressive performers of all time.

As a breaker from the 80's, I too practiced non stop while my parents looked at me like I was such a weirdo LOL! Watching you blew my mind and brought back so many memories of back in the day. I still remember watching this in like 2003 while I was at work and showing all my co workers. Still one of my faves on youtube. Superb talent, David!

I bought the dvd. I wonder if I still have it. In any case, I recommend it. It shows lots of him and his friends. Skywalker was another one that stood out. The circular moonwalk?? Oo. The stand and salut!

@davidemaga Better look at all forms of dancing and then give it a second thought if you don't think this is dancing. There times when he hits moves and locks and other functions dead on the beat, and other times when he is totally free style. He's moving his body to music, and it's art, and dancing. This type of person is rare-- I've seen popping, waving, (NOT "wawing" by they way-- when did it change?), etc.. for 29 years, and he still managed to look original. Amazing for sure.

@JJgody well I remember reading some time ago that elsewhere was raised on the streets with other bboys. he used to battle and he focused really hard early on with footwork. I think after he gained fundamentals and saw the potential of experimental waving (from Skywalker) is when he truly started to branch out and create his unique style. he is a pioneer and a true dancer, but we shouldn't be so quick to cast aside fundamentals and culture. without those things, he would've never found his style
