At 51 years old have just started to learn the clarinet and this is the best bit of advice so far. Thank you so much for posting this. (UK)

Great Embouchure lesson :) The best I've seen here on youtube.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the actual pitch of the buzz. It should be a consistently pitched buzz no matter what note you play on the clarinet, but there's nothing magical about the D. Some of it is going to depend on the size of your lips. The D an octave lower is closer to the pitch I get naturally. The D he is buzzing requires much more tension for me than is productive in a well balanced embouchure.

I certainly need to watch the pre-requisite video: "How to buzz your lower lip."

I had a Bell’s palsy years ago and as a result I have a weakness in my facial muscles. I really want to learn to play the clarinet. Do you have any advice for people with afflictions such as mine? Thank you so much for your videos :-).
