Listening to this in 2021 and remembering my uni days and how much this song meant to be + how much I loved it live. Not been to a gig due to ill health since the end of 2013 but David Ford supporting someone (forgotten who. Was just there for David) at union chapel (my favourite venue) was a good last one (for now) to remember.

I never tire of watching and listening to this song. Nothing short of a hidden, underrated classic. The lyrics remain more relevant today than when they were originally written.

I saw David Ford perform this song the other day and believe you me, you havn't heard this song until you've heard it live

If people can't see how incredible he is. . Then it's a shame.

I like how this song is still being discovered - needs to have so much more than 40K views!

This song is probably one of my favorite things - I'm not sure why it came back to my brain recently, but I've been re-listening lately and absolutely love the feelings it conveys.

Dave you have got such a gorgeous voice and the lyrics are amazing. I love the album “I Sincerely Apologise For The Trouble I’ve Caused”. I love the stuff you did in the beginning with easyworld on ‘Better Ways To Self Destruct’. I saw you play with K.T. Tunstall once. You always give me massive Michael Stipes vibes, which is a good thing because I love him.

I would kill myself to kiss this man. Been listening to him since I was 13, seven years. Lots of painful and beautiful memories. Thank you David.

I remember seeing him live at the Sage in Gateshead and was completely blown away by his performance, such a musical genius and talent in my book and a brilliant song too.

Posts here are years old. Anyone listening in 2019 and watching the Kurds being slaughtered?
@lindaplant61345 жыл бұрын
As a matter of fact, the Kurds are exactly how I ended up here. Our relationship with the Kurds was never going to end well, but wholesale slaughter and genocide is simply more than I am willing to accept. It called to mind this song. Glad to know I am not alone on this one. :)

Idk for recording I've been using Firestudio, that goes straight into the computer and different editing programs but honestly for something like this video I would have just had a multitrack loop pedal hooked up to the mics, now I'm guessing that's what went on here because there's a real ambient sound going on that would have been likely edited out if there was extra production involved though. I like the sound of my drums better this way than super clean recordings.

I love this song, but I find myself laughing through this video because the way he's running around playing all these instruments at the same time reminds me way too much of my fiancee and I...hm...I never thought of videotaping the way a small outfit records before but come to think of it this looks pretty awesome actually lol...Also he got a kick ass sound out of that Mustang I'd love to know what he was running that through, and what he used to record the drums..nice sound.

I love this song. But, this is not live. Notice he never pushes any buttons after he samples himself after each instrument. Not live, but still amazing.

David Gagné On this version, that's quite likely. But when he does it live, it's legit.
