Chapter 2 246. Have you not considered the notables of the Children of Israel after Moses? When they said to a prophet of theirs, “Appoint a king for us, and we will fight in the cause of Allah.” He said, “Is it possible that, if fighting was ordained for you, you would not fight?” They said, “Why would we not fight in the cause of Allah, when we were driven out of our homes, along with our children?” But when fighting was ordained for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. But Allah is aware of the wrongdoers. 247. Their prophet said to them, “Allah has appointed Saul to be your king.” They said, “How can he have authority over us, when we are more worthy of authority than he, and he was not given plenty of wealth?” He said, “Allah has chosen him over you, and has increased him in knowledge and stature.” Allah bestows His sovereignty upon whomever He wills. Allah is Embracing and Knowing. 248. And their prophet said to them, “The proof of his kingship is that the Ark will be restored to you, bringing tranquility from your Lord, and relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron. It will be carried by the angels. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.” 249. When Saul set out with the troops, he said, “Allah will be testing you with a river. Whoever drinks from it does not belong with me. But whoever does not drink from it, does belong with me, except for whoever scoops up a little with his hand.” But they drank from it, except for a few of them. Then, when he crossed it, he and those who believed with him, they said, “We have no strength to face Goliath and his troops today.” But those who knew that they would meet Allah said, “How many a small group has defeated a large group by Allah’s will. Allah is with the steadfast.” 250. And when they confronted Goliath and his troops, they said, “Our Lord, pour down patience on us, and strengthen our foothold, and support us against the faithless people.” 251. And they defeated them by Allah’s leave, and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him sovereignty and wisdom, and taught him as He willed. Were it not for Allah restraining the people, some by means of others, the earth would have gone to ruin. But Allah is gracious towards mankind. 252. These are Allah’s revelations, which We recite to you in truth. You are one of the messengers. 253. These messengers: We gave some advantage over others. To some of them Allah spoke directly, and some He raised in rank. We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear miracles, and We strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. Had Allah willed, those who succeeded them would not have fought one another, after the clear signs had come to them; but they disputed; some of them believed, and some of them disbelieved. Had Allah willed, they would not have fought one another; but Allah does whatever He desires. 254. O you who believe! Spend from what We have given you, before a Day comes in which there is neither trading, nor friendship, nor intercession. The disbelievers are the wrongdoers. 255. Allah! There is no god except He, the Living, the Everlasting. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what is before them, and what is behind them; and they cannot grasp any of His knowledge, except as He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not burden Him. He is the Most High, the Great. 256. There shall be no compulsion in religion; the right way has become distinct from the wrong way. Whoever renounces evil and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handle; which does not break. Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 257. Allah is the Lord of those who believe; He brings them out of darkness and into light. As for those who disbelieve, their lords are the evil ones; they bring them out of light and into darkness-these are the inmates of the Fire, in which they will abide forever. 258. Have you not considered him who argued with Abraham about his Lord, because Allah had given him sovereignty? Abraham said, “My Lord is He who gives life and causes death.” He said, “I give life and cause death.” Abraham said, “Allah brings the sun from the East, so bring it from the West,” so the blasphemer was confounded. Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. 259. Or like him who passed by a town collapsed on its foundations. He said, “How can Allah revive this after its demise?” Thereupon Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, and then resurrected him. He said, “For how long have you tarried?” He said, “I have tarried for a day, or part of a day.” He said, “No. You have tarried for a hundred years. Now look at your food and your drink-it has not spoiled-and look at your donkey. We will make you a wonder for mankind. And look at the bones, how We arrange them, and then clothe them with flesh.” So when it became clear to him, he said, “I know that Allah has power over all things.” 260. And when Abraham said, “My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.” He said, “Have you not believed?” He said, “Yes, but to put my heart at ease.” He said, “Take four birds, and incline them to yourself, then place a part on each hill, then call to them; and they will come rushing to you. And know that Allah is Powerful and Wise.” 261. The parable of those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way is that of a grain that produces seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. Allah multiplies for whom He wills. Allah is Bounteous and Knowing. 262. Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, and then do not follow up what they spent with reminders of their generosity or with insults, will have their reward with their Lord-they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. 263. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by insults. Allah is Rich and Clement.

I’m an atheist but can certainly appreciate those who have a religious conviction. Haters don’t comment. Absolutely love history and archeology. Particularly of interest to me is Middle East history. And to all my brothers and sisters in Christ watching this from all over the world I pray that Yeshua will bless and inspire you like he has me in watching these videos. This post is 2 years in the making so I apologize if its long but it has been on my heart to say. I can not thank you enough for opening up your lives and home to bring in an extended family of over 200k to show us the locations and bring the bible to life for us. You have showed us where our Lord and Savior walked, where he talked, where he died, and where he conquered death and said "I AM". You have taken us to George's wedding, and Joy's baptism. You have had Suhail show us an awesome Humus recipe and my favorite was Ruth and the Easter Cookies. You have taken us to Lithuania to meet probably the most inspiring woman I have ever had the chance to listen to. All the negatives she has faced in life and to still be so full of God's love. My mother made me promise to take my dad to Israel after her passing because it was his dream to go. I was hoping to take him in Sept to show him all the places that Sergio and Rhoda have taken us to. Unfortunately this pandemic has not made that possible at this time but I still have showed him these videos. If it is God's will I will bring him and I would love to meet up with you two and buy you dinner to say thank you for all the enjoyment, and inspiration that you have given so many of us. This interpretation is strengthened by the fact that the Jewish religious leaders in the first century identified Micah 5:2 as a Messianic prophecy. In Matthew 2, wise men from the East visited King Herod in Jerusalem and asked where the king of the Jews had been born. Herod assembled all the chief priests and scribes, and “he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, ‘In Bethlehem of Judea,’” basing their answer on Micah 5:2. Only Jesus Christ fits the Messianic claims of Micah 5:2. He was born in Bethlehem Ephrathah (Matthew 2; Luke 2:1-20). Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, the ruler of Israel (John 4:25-26). He also fits the description as being “from ancient times” or eternal (John 1:1; Colossians 1:16-17). No other ruler in Israel fits these requirements. Dozens of other direct prophecies in the Old Testament (some scholars cite hundreds) fit Jesus’ birth, ministry, and death.

This video blew up my mind when S&R tested the sound distance between the valleys...incredible ! Israelites are so blessed by the one true living God...a simple weapon the sling brought down such giant. The sling and goliaths might weapon has a deep revelation. God can use the weakest thing of the earth to destroy your enemy who treats you harsh, who tries to raise voice and put you down, who tries to rule you. @MishYah IsraEl Yes, you are right. But I am wondering if you are saying that blacks are the true Israelites. Their history does not match Deut. 28. For example at the very end it says they will offer themselves as slaves and no one will buy them. Not what happened to blacks who were sold as slaves! Also, the Bible asks a rhetorical Q. "Can the Ethiopian change his skin?" Since those words were addressed to Israelites it becomes apparent that those addressed did not have skin like the black Ethiopians. I guess it makes me sad to see black people trying to claim they are the true Israelites based on nothing Biblical. Now Moses' 2nd wife was black. There were black people who came out of Egypt with him. But you can't say blacks were the "true" Israelites. The true Israelites back then were probably tan. The really, really true Israelites were, and are, those who follow the Torah and its Isaiah 53 Messiah.

I was there on May 4th 2019, and saw the things in your video. We had to be rushed out of the area the day we were there. Hamas fired 250 rockets into the area a few miles away. That was great! Thanks. One other thing you may want to research: some people say that the ancient slingshot was a piece of cloth with strings (like you showed) but the strings were hooked to the end of a staff instead of the finger. The extra leverage from the length of the staff would give more velocity to the stones. This would also explain Goliath’s comment in 1 Sam. 17:43, “Am I a dog that you come after me with sticks?”

I've heard that before...But wasn't the agreement just between one man against the other.? Why would David be concerned about Goliath brothers, when at the same time there was a whole Philistine army for David to be concerned about if the agreement wasn't kept by the Philistines?. Maybe the reason that David decided to pick 5-stones was that he wasn't so sure if one stone would be enough...David took on Goliath with faith in God, I don't think that David was so sure that God would intervene...God hardly ever makes his interventions seems so obvious.

The interesting thing about how David and Goliath (I Samuel 17) is typically taught is David as a young teen. The problem is I Samuel 16:18 Then answered one of the servants "Behold I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war" As far as the slingshot, many ancient cultures predating bow and arrow tech, were deadly accurate with sling and stones.

Hi Don! I highly recommend watching the sermons we highlighted in the video which explain this problem. 1 Sam 16 days he was a nightly valiant man, but then in 1 Sam 17 it says he was but a youth when he killed Goliath. There’s a great explanation to this. Hope you watch them!

I was in Israel in Feb 2020 and also went to this Valley. The stones, we were told, would have been about as big as a man's fist. David was adept with the sling & the stones due to his need to protect the sheep. Scripture talks of David killing lions and bears, so he had no worries about Goliath. Experts estimate the stones could as fast as 60 mph! P.S. Being there gave me goosebumps also!🙂
