Love watching this dude. His style feels so unique. It's so stop and start, and I dig how he mixes it the little ollie norths and tail scrapes in there. It's like the physical version of making a collage, and it all gets cut and pasted into one gnarly whole. Glad he's recovering from that whole hip dislocation deal.

Remember that age when you just feel at one with your board. It can take five to ten years. You don't necessarily skate like a pro. But you just feel locked into your board. This guy is there but at the next level.

Dave's part in prevent this tragedy is originally what got me into skateboarding, crazy to think it was over a decade ago. I used to basically live at my local park trying to emulate this guys style. Paid my own dues through countless swellbows, hotpockets, a few broken arms, and a femur. Had some great times in my teens, and learned a lot of life lessons through skateboarding. I'm 23 now, have a wife and a kid, and saw this pop up on my feed. Completely blown away by the fact that this man is still throwing down bangers after so many years and injuries. I haven't really kept up with skating in sometime now, but Dave seems to have lit the figurative fire under my ass again. About to go grab my board from my buddies place and eat shit for the first time in a few years.
