Literally just finished watching the episode 'Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death', and see a Knight Rider Historian notification. _"I had more chins than a Chinese Phonebook"_ so glad there wasn't social media in the 80s!

Ich war 1985 10 Jahre alt, bin in der ehemaligen DDR geboren,hatte da zu dieser Zeit keine Ahnung von dieser Serie ,das kam erst nach der Wende,als wir die Möglichkeit bekamen, Kabelfernsehen installieren zu lassen,was meine Eltern zunächst nicht wollten. Ich hatte sie aber dann solange damit genervt,das machen zu lassen,bis sie ja sagten😜😂,und dann konnte ich mir,wie das dann so üblich war,jeden Tag "Knight Rider"angucken,weil ich ja einen eigenen Fernseher hatte,meine Omi hatte mir zu meinem 18.Geburtstag 1000 DM geschenkt,das hatte sie bei jedem ihrer Enkel gemacht,und sie hatte viele,leider hatte sie nicht soviel Rente auf ihrem Konto,aber das ist eine andere Geschichte und leider gibt es sie auch nicht mehr 😢,sie war sehr lieb😢,manchmal vermisse ich sie sehr😢,2000 starb sie an einem Schlaganfall 😢,mit 86 Jahren❤❤🙏R.I.P.,aber irgendwann sehen wir uns wieder😁.Ach ja,meine Eltern wollten das Kabelfernsehen deshalb nicht,weil sie dann den Anschluss und auch die monatliche Gebühr zahlen müssten,ich konnte sie aber zum Schluss überzeugen,das machen zu lassen,weil wir dann viel mehr Möglichkeiten hatten,noch mehr Sender ranzukriegen außer ZDF und ARD, tja,so war das halt. Ich hatte auch irgendwie,irgendwo mitbekommen,dass es da diese amerikanische Serie mit diesem äußerst gutaussehenden Schauspieler namens David Hasselhoff gibt,und von da an wurde ich ein großer Hasselhoff -Fan❤❤❤❤❤❤,den ich bis heute sehr mag❤

I know he did Young and the Restless for a decent amount of time before Knight Rider but I can honestly say I still to this day have never seen even 1 single episode of General Hospital lol. I cannot get myself to sit down and watch a Soap Opera. I just can't. Not even if my favorite tv Actor was in it. Yet I've seen every Knight Rider episode like a hundred times each. After Knight Rider ended I even tried to give Bay Watch a chance but it still just wasn't doing it for me. There is just something about him and KITT together as a team that no other tv show can touch. They were the perfect duo. The coolest duo too. Still kills me that they only got 4 seasons outta that show. Should have went on a lot longer than that. But I still have every episode on dvr and I still watch it Monday thru Friday on Starz Encore Action at 11:50pm just like they were new episodes. One of my Aunts said I watched that show so much she thought I really wanted to be Michael Knight when I was a teenager. Like if she asked me what do I wanna do when I finish high school she'd expect me to say I wanna be Michael Knight lol.

I'm kinda like that with Richard Dean Anderson. Originally, I saw him more as Jack O' Neill from Stargate: SG-1, as MacGyver was rarely on TV here in the UK. However from 2009, I revisited the 80s classic, and now whenever see Mr Anderson, I only see Angus MacGyver!

I still remember being in Kindergarten or Pre-1A drawing doodles of kitt from his side in class. I'd pretend he was my dad and we drove around in kitt. I even remember a kid in the class who had the knight rider walkie talkies with the official knight rider sticker. There was an episode of baywatch where there was this SUV vehicle that could drive on water. At the end of the episode, the lifeguards kept it and David asked could it talk? and the lifeguard said no. David replied "Than it can't do everything" or something to that effect. Only real nod to knight rider on baywatch.

I remember seeing this clip years ago about him talking about how he gained weight after the second season break.. Based on his fro/perm this must have been season 3 of knight rider he was talking about.

@@DeadpoolGames19 not too difficult to tell. Each season had a different look / feel to it. Season i e was the campiest. Season 2 reminded me the most of the 80's. Season 3 was one of the best I liked. Season 4 could have been mistaken for the early 90's. Music was different in almost each season too.

@@knightrcer fair. I kinda only like s1 and s2 cause that's what my brother had on DVD. He has some of s2 and all of s1. I have the whole series now but it was released by Mill Creek so I don't get any bonus stuff. And imo. The first two seasons are amazing. I just can't seem to watch 3 and 4. I can watch kr2000 even though its devastating. It's for me weird to watch the last two seasons. Did that make sense?

@@DeadpoolGames19 You can get the individual season DVD on eBay still.the extras in season one are totally worth it. Commentary by David Hasselhoff and Glen Larson series creator. Interviews with David and stuntman. Loved certain episodes in season 3 and 4 like knight of the drones, junk yard dog, lost knight, knight in the fast lane, knight of the juggernaut, killer kitt, scent of the roses, just to name a few off the top of my head.

The show was about automobile technology, and how KITT from Knight Rider has been and still is the standard for auto tech. Self-driving, Voice-activating, bulletproof, hands-free phone use, GPS, along with other tech that was inspired only by KITT. KITT started ALL of today's auto technology. I got a feeling that KITT is gonna be the inspiration for the automotive world for many years to come. :)
