This is like a meditation, typical Hockney pulls you in to his mind. I came across this extraordinary artist on my first visit to London in the middle 70's from Ireland. Like Picasso I have always been influenced and put me on the road to my own journey as an artist. Thank you David and if you ever come to Ireland you can come out and socialise as a smoker, we Irish find nooks and crannies everywhere.

It had the same affect on me Natasha....such joy and light after a time of so much sadness and darkness. I stood on a stormy night last May in Picadilly watching the 'sunrise at sunset' with tears in my eyes as Hockney proclaimed on the largest advertising hoarding in Europe..."Remember you cannot look at the sun or death for very long....."

I bought the book Spring Cannot be Cancelled right when it was published and have already reread it twice more. Super work and thank you for this upload as I love overseas and wished I could see the works when I read of the exhibition. I have loved his work since I was in my ealy 20's ...so 40 years plus

David Hockney is one of our greatest living artists,always experimenting and using tecnology in new ways always pushing and evolving his work in new directions,this shows thar digital art can be really stunning. This is beautilly filmed and gives a real sense of the essence of the spirit of spring's awakening that he was trying to capture in these i-pad paintings and animations. I hope to go the exhbibition i person very soon.

Thank you for allowing us to see this inspirational exhibition from the comfort of our sofa. This was tottally relaxing to watch. We were lucky enough to see an Exhibition at the York Art gallery where the artworks created from scenes in the Yorkshire wolds were displayed. It was wonderful to see in real life.

I think that art can be simple and not translated to the conceptual level so that the ordinary person can appreciate the visual images and you do not have to be a great artist to see the love of life in these pictures. Art is open to all that wants to do or see it and you do not necessary need a qualification to enter a museum or draw, paint subjects of nature.

Amazing, but I have one fear. As he's painting with the iPad, how is such artwork stored? Because as much as we think digital daga is here to stay forever, it decays too. Wonder how to make sure future generations in hundreds of years can still watch the art like we can see paintings on cave walls, canvases etc. No expert on the theme just curious. As I have found out that our digital photos and films might indeed get lost over time on a data server, while my old photos may still be around despite yellowing.

I like the joyful colors and mood, but other than that... As far as I know, he is not considered a naive artist. But most of his work here looks very childish, just too simple. I don't appreciate primitivization of art.
