Until watching this I guess I underestimated how important David J has been in my life. With the caveat that he's a million times better musician than I am, his acoustic version of Dog End Of A Day Gone By blew me away, because it's how it sounds in my head, even though the album version sounds totally different, and it's the way I play it to myself when I can't sleep in the middle of the night. So many lyrics come to me when I need them. "Do you remember? The blackest moment? And do you recall...no light?" "When you're down, it's a long way up. When you're up, it's a long way down. It's all the same thing. No new tale to tell." "don't go too fast, just sets me free"

A very underrated artist. His debut album The Etiquette of Violence is brilliant. I've loved it since its release in 1983.

When David J came onboard with his brother & Daniel Tones on Tail ended and Love & Rockets was born
